Information on the tyre: Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 is a winter tyre designed for medium-class vehicles and compact cars. The model performs very well in extreme weather conditions and ensures an excellent grip. Due to its directional tread, Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 features an adequate grip both on dry and wet surfaces.

Braking distance on snow and ice has been reduced thanks to the increased number of blocks and sipes. Better transmission of transverse forces during cornering comes from the use of more tyre edges. With this, driving is stable and comfortable even in adverse weather conditions. The designers have increased the total number of sipes on the tyre and this translates into more efficient water drainage and thus, better grip on ice and snow.

The model also features a better transmission of lateral forces which was obtained with the use of a harder filling material and additional bead toe reinforcement. With such a design, the tyre ensures better driving and lower rolling resistance which translates into reduced fuel consumption. All of this makes Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 very economical in use.

The tyre was made using a modern compound, which makes for slow tread wear. Due to this, Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 has an extended life. The tyre is a very good solution for all drivers who appreciate grip and road safety just as much as excellent performance.

Information on the manufacturer:

Continental is one of the largest tyre manufacturing groups. Their models are in the premium rated segment, which means that they are characterised by top quality execution and excellent driving parameters. Continental have 22 production plants located all over the world. Apart from their own brand, they are a majority shareholder in such companies as Uniroyal, Barum, Viking, Matador and Semperit.

Firstly, I wanted to buy Firestone WinterHawk 1 but these are not being manufactured anymore. That is why I kept on searching for tyres with a similar tread. I chose Continental ContiWinterContact TS850. I have been using them for one winter season and I am satisfied with their quality. The tyres are quiet and I have an impression that the car drives better than on my summer Dunlops. The driving is quiet and comfortable and very safe in snow. I have never had problems on road with these tyres. They provide really good grip even if you drive a diesel with a high torque on a roundabout, They are great in rainy weather but I think they are a bit louder in wet conditions (I would not say it is a drawback - it is rather normal). When it comes to pure ice roads, it is obvious that only the snow tyres with spikes would be useful there. However, I have not noticed any signs of wear on the tyres. They could have been a bit cheaper but still the price is quite reasonable. The fuel consumption has not changed significantly. Generally speaking it is a pleasure to drive a car on these tyres. I recommend them to everyone who drives often in the city. I have tyres with the T speed rating (up to 118 mph) and I have driven on them with the max. speed of 130 mph. I have not experienced any vibrations or noise at all. It is simply luxe:) Read more Collapse

I have done the mileage around 3200 miles on these tyres. Driving sensations are very positive. I used to drive mainly in the city on GoodYear tyres in the past (I had GY 4seasons previously) and they were quite good although they were all-season tyres. I knew that in this year I will have to drive in hard terrain so I have decided to buy Continental ContiWinterContact TS850. I have them in the size 195/65/R15. When it comes to the rolling resistance I have not noticed an increased fuel consumption. I have not experienced any problems while driving in snow and slush. On the wet road I have not noticed an aquaplaning phenomenon. The braking distance is perfect. I thought the tyres will have some problems on ice since majority of them do. However, they surprised me positively. Once I stopped my car immediately without a long skid although I was driving at high speed. Admittedly, the braking systems helped the car to slow down but I think the tyres contributed significantly to the outcome. I think it is really worth to spend a bit more money and buy these tyres in order to have a guarantee of safety. Read more Collapse

Tyres are as good as I thought. I am fully satisfied with their quality. They meet my expectations. I did not have any problems with driving my car in winter. I was wondering how deep I can drive into the snow without getting stuck. The tyres turned out to be great both in deep snow and slush. They are perfect on dry surface as well (especially in corners). The ABS/ESP systems did not have to activate because a car did not skid at all. The tyres are quiet since they have been designed to absorb a road noise, making the driving more comfortable. I think that after changing the tyres pressure to the value recommended by the manufacturer the driving will be even more comfortable! I will check that in next winter season. My car is heavy and I drive rather fast but I have not noticed any wear symptoms. I strongly recommend. Read more Collapse

The tyres purchased after several hours of reading about their safety, performance and comparisons between Continental and different premium brands. I had to choose the best and the safest tyres available as I knew they will be mounted on my wive's car. I have decided to buy the Continental ContiWinter Contact TS850 tyres. After using them in different weather conditions like snow, slush, rain and mud, I can say that this choice was as good as the one I have made 10 years ago when I decided to marry my present wife. The tyres turned out to be tremendous. Had I had a possibility of turning back the clock, I would not have purchased different tyres. I do recommend these tyres as well as the Oponeo online shop. The delivery of the tyres was very fast. The price is simply great and the quality of the tyres is astonishing! Read more Collapse

I have previously had the Fulda KristalMontenero 3 tyres mounted on my car and I have done more than 30,000 miles on them. When it comes to these Continentals, I have been driving on them for two winter seasons so I have done only around 6-7 thousand miles on them. The Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 tyres are of definitely better quality than the Fulda tyres I've had before. Their durability is better by one third when compared with Fulda. They are much better in slush as well. When I had Fulda tyres I had to brake carefully in snow conditions but having Continentals I know that I can speed up in all weather conditions, even on ice. The tyres provide an astonishing grip. I have been surprised how good they are. I have based my opinion on my own impressions of driving on these tyres both in and out of a city. Read more Collapse

I had these for 28k miles and they lasted well given that they are a winter tyre and designed for colder conditions. Noise was moderate and grip in wet conditions good, I didn't have a chance to test them in snow or ice as we had none last year. I would recommend these as a good tyre for the price and quite durable, the shoulders wear first on these so early rotation is necessary. Read more Collapse

I travel a lot, especially on good roads - Audi A6 car with a powerful engine for European gasoline. The vehicle has a lightweight sports character, which takes full advantage. Winter tires, mentioned, premium tires Continental TS850 class with the speed V (up to 240 km / h) should ideally meet my requirements. Unfortunately, it was not. But I'll start from the beginning. After the first kilometers after your purchase I was pleasantly surprised by the properties of the tire. Excellent adhesion on dry roads, the wet - too big, the tire was definitely quieter than the other used until now by me. Winter 2014/15 that we all remember abound in the snow, and I had no opportunity to fully test its winter properties outside jednīm foray into the mountains - there was snow, the tire responded my expectations. After traveling a distance of about 500 kilometers, the first signs of "beating" or tires - not my concern is aroused - tires "ułożyły" on the rim and it is necessary to re overweight wheels. While balancing the wheels, it was found that the cause of "beat" the wheels are not necessarily consider - only rough tire / eccentric. This inequality has been on the order of 1-1.5 mm, which at high speeds achieved is very noticeable. The whole car breaks vibration. Sure announced this tire, tires before shipment to OPONEO bought another in the same mount an identical set, and then sent back tire. In response to my complaint, I received a denial stating that the default "is in conformity", the complaint is unfounded I stayed with five tires, including one that is flawed -. Left on "reserve", it is difficult . So I did not finish my problems "hits". Other tires subsequently underwent the same phenomenon. After the end of the winter season, tires with rims were removed and sold. They ran on 4000 To summarize km -.. opny CONTINENTAL TS850 WINTER CONTACT sizes 225/55 / R17 V absolutely not suitable for drivers who like to press the gas pedal harder the tire is too delicate With its aggressive irreversible deformation race. occurs. Opel Astra H size 205/55 tires / R16 T. I bought as a novelty on the market in 2012. Now the winter will be 4 on the tires and about 20,000 km. Riding aggressively mainly around the city, highways, roads, town. My impression is, on the very good dry. I had the opportunity to go in the winter on the road at speeds of 180-205km \ h (temperature of -5 degrees, dry road, a little more than let index directs the reader T) quietly confident handling, no shots, braking too well. But only low temperatures below 5-10 degrees above the temperature quickly taken corners like donuts renounced ... during braking were also slippages. On a big, big wet directional water discharges from the tread, despite the 4 seasons you can go boldly 120-140km / h for deszczu.Hamowanie also very good in the wet. Snow tires as it performs very well, has never had a problem to leave the garage, despite 15cm of fresh snow. On compacted snow too much you can afford higher speeds than in the rest of the inhibition of the good donuts drivers bite into the snow. Slush above 0 degrees fine. Another advantage is the free consumes tread 4 start of the season and it is about 5-6 mm. Cons: 1.Podmarzajace slush on the roundabout, do not know whether to blame the torque of the diesel, but lighter gases and donuts have lost their grip ... 2.Zuzycie fuel has increased in comparison with tires Summer of about 0.9 L per 100 km 3 PRICE! !! I would buy donuts just after a snowfall. Big tires on the road to the city. Definitely to drive faster. After I mountains not mounted. If no price is wszytskim recommend :) Read more Collapse

I bought these donuts as they have emerged as the latest model. So now is already on 3 winter tires. I drive mostly in the city, from time to time somewhere more. Large city pneus.Na dry very well, but only at a temperature of 10 degrees above Feel Like August bend in the turns taken quickly, and temperatures that impression too soft hamowania.Przy below 0 written perfectly. Well, driving at higher speeds, rode once in Warsaw in the evening, and 200 km / h, (steel wheels) no vibration. On a wet revelation, directional tread of works, it is one of the strong points of the tires, high drain water. Another advantage is the quiet SA, I have the impression that quieter than the summer dunlopow. Snow very well, has never been a problem to exit the garage even though it was 20 cm of fresh snow. On compacted snow as you can afford higher speeds. Another advantage is the 3 season life begins already on the tires and you can not see a major loss, I think 3-4 seasons yet enough. The disadvantages are riding on the roundabout przymarzajacym mud slip, lose their grip donuts with a slight addition of gas, and perhaps he is than for what to drive turbodiesel and high torque. Another drawback is the fuel consumption, compared to burning summer tires increased about 100 km 0.8-1L. But perhaps it is just for the winter. In general, if it is recommended the city and to drive faster. Read more Collapse

I do not understand raving about this tire - very average product for a lot of money. Advantages: low rolling resistance, a certain behavior on the ice, good drainage of water and slush. Cons: poor traction on snow, the wave behavior in dry conditions - tire is very soft, too soft sidewalls make the impression of "rocking" and jumping up and down going cross inequality, strong on wet asphalt (specific whistle especially during acceleration), the appearance of the tire on the rim (underinflation lasting impression despite experimenting with pressure). By. my tires are only suitable for city cars and compact light for drivers who prefer to ride alone. I ride fast and the tire does not fit me completely. Undoubtedly, earning the test and get good performance on product labels. Experienced drivers, however, do not expect it. The cars have traveled more than a million kilometers - the winter, I recommend: the premium segment Dunlop Winter Sport 4D or Nokian WR A3, the middle class - Uniroyal MS Plus 66 or Hankook Evo W310. Excellent tires, roll them in a variety of weather conditions (the charms of the current winter) and different surfaces (in the field, outside the city, in the city) and I am positively surprised. Very good drainage allows you to enjoy the ride, even in the days torrential (shame I can not say that on the windshield - Continental can take my opinion into consideration and produce a wiper because I would be certainly better than current major manufacturers in this market). In typical winter conditions and snow and slush excel sensational perfectly biting into a mass of snow and prevent slippage. They are characterized by high resistance to abrasion of the tread, despite fairly aggressive driving on expressways. I am sure that the buyer will be very pleased with the acquisition of these tires and really using these tires, I can say that it is worth the time to spend more to enjoy more driving pleasure. I highly recommend these tires and all manufacturer's tires. Read more Collapse

I bought a new set of reading favorable reviews. Impressions of the use that I mixed. After more than five thousand. miles driven in winter conditions nickname because winter is not a lot of snow, I can say: on the positive side - the resistance slightly higher than in the summer (Vredestein HiTrac2) bearing, good performance Snow and high gel - 10, good comfort, good behavior on a straight path. Cons - especially swimming in tight curves - leaving the car or on the front of the application of the situation on the corner, does not keep track and this is a feature that disqualifies these tires in my opinion, also 50 - 60 kmh seems sound tire buses or vehicles offers this effect disappears more or less speed. Summary: I do not feel a safe environment for the tire unless the below minus 10 degrees Celsius, if I had to choose for this price 1500 zł would choose other tires. Read more Collapse

After reading some tests and reviews the choice was simple. Tires are resistant to ice, snow traction in the wet, no surprises, and better than the dry summer Michelinach Energy Saver Barumach not to mention winter running. Less noise, or rather whistle with a strong acceleration in driving at a constant speed without excessive noise. I worry more about sustainability at Continentalu sometimes, but in accordance with the tests to be good. Price-wise, it is not a bargain, but the most expensive tires in accordance with the tests are worse. It seems to me that you invest and save yourself unwanted sensations that can buy cheap rubber, not to mention the loss of savings przekreślających material. Tires help provide low fuel consumption - no problem, I reach the level of Michelin (summer) and winter Barumy ABOUT 1 liter / 100 Read more Collapse

A friend convinced me to come to Conti. Tires are not cheap and they do not have a tread interesting. Watch the tire, you can see the attention to aesthetics, but it is still just a piece of black rubber. Tire founded in September, I bought a car on a set of still original, who have lost their charm with age tires. Lead immediately cichutka and sweet. And the rest, even at lower temperatures this winter. Conti probably take on a dry and cold, wet and warm and the snow. I live in a region where no roads strewn with salt, and sometimes snow. Auto should be adapted to driving on snow, mud and ice. And what it is. I recommend it worthwhile to spend those few pounds more, I notice that rides on a set of 4-5 seasons, and the difference between the simple cheapest tire and Conti is a mountain of 150 parts gold. Tires mounted on Volvo V50 2.0D. Very good performance on wet and snowy, poor on dry roads sometimes surprises a slight shift. The soft blend makes the car runs a little uncomfortable, especially when overtaking. Quieter summer ContiSportContact 5, burning more than about 0.2, but it is a question of lower temperatures. In less that causes many of them do not buy this poor tire sidewall despite high 205/55 on May 2 front tires on the side of small cracks probably formed when they enter the hole. Previously on Bridgestone Blizzak przejeździłem 3 seasons without damage, were lower for Conti in the snow, but driving on plowed roads much better (almost like a summer). Conti good for a quiet walk in less deforested areas of the country :) I did not buy more of them. Read more Collapse

First time riding on tires premium and do not regret a penny that does not count. Although winter this year, I experienced while I often found Aug. find ice where the tire acted very wisely in August I hesitated between buying A4 due to lower consumption by the test, but I must say they were unjustified fears. My tires after 10 k do not show wear and probably works about 15 k per year during the winter before they become older than worn. I recommend to all, for me it was an investment in the security you must have paid. In the wet in tight corners as the car moves on rails. ESP only time I joined in August when icy roundabout led to a much higher speed with the tires was preserved very predictable and there was no uncontrolled skid. I recommend to all! Tires do a great job on both wet and dry conditions. The great snow. I had the opportunity to test during the attack of winter this year and the famous Xavier. Snow drifts and blizzards way I was able to ride on these tires is simply a measure of the performance of these tires. When another buried in the way I calmly conducted without a problem. I just saw the look of some drivers who had to push me and I went without the support of the media. I recommend. I Kristal Fulda Montero 3 but they are much better. I recommend to all undecided. Apparently, winter is behind us but ahead of us if another driver does not save on the tires all buy and enjoy safe driving. Tires huge disappointment. I bought a "master test" and I had the worst junk. From the start, the car and the steering wheel slightly attracted to vibrate at higher speeds. For the second season, I started back to front. It was impossible to climb. At 100 meters, the car itself has changed lane on the highway. The manufacturer gave me money after two seasons of use and more I do not buy this brand. At the place where the complaint was made Cintinental has confirmed that a record performance. For summer tires Continental, the new car was also a problem. Service could not deal with it, and I do not come to mind that tires can cause the download. Only now have linked the facts, because the old, the first rubber are still in the garage. Read more Collapse

Tire generally very decent, holds good in the corners, do not bother too much inequality. The problem is being braked, can surprise me abs-em sometimes absurd situation (both the minimum and the standard speeds - aggressive driving as reject here, able to go to work abs chew all), making braking quite risky and unpredictable. I happened interchangeably driving cars on native Fridge, who better to inhibit the in and out of deep snow, but easier to lose grip in curves and on Alpine Michelin, which in both Fridge and Conti for me to leave behind. The opinion of the tire seems to rest on a drive after a complete renovation of the suspension and brakes so that the problems with the tires rather do not affect the technical condition of the car :) Read more Collapse

For me, a damaged tire after one season. Seller is the only service that returned to the manufacturer tires and tire as well as complaints dismissed. Michelinki on wet asphalt cling perfectly to the curves well. The same is true when accelerating and braking. I bought nówki continent and I am completely disappointed. With traction tires if I slip 4x4 and you should try to break the hold. Braking - Michelin 5 years stopped the car in the rain without problems since I started wheezing before each Continental abs lights. It does not make sense at all. Compared snow, ice and heavily compacted snow wyślizganym better than in the case of tires. Too little led to spend all opinions in the test. My main criterion is sustainability and failure and on these points is not formed an opinion to assess reliably the tire is not sufficient to drive a lot - you have to run for a long period of time in my case 5-8 years (10. thousands of kilometers in the winter / year). Comparing to my previous Nokian tires are definitely quieter, exercising the same, but I hope they will last longer. Nokia in the second year of operation had to replace the rear axle because a tire was damaged after entering a board beneath the snow (it was torn about 10 cm piece of rubber on the tire cord odsłanijac). Very happy to have winters equipped. After much research to 850 Continental after many positive reviews. My wife had to slam on the wet and she called me to thank me for winter tires and I had some Dingbat overtaking on the wrong side of the road in the wet and dark and hit the brakes and prevented an accident. I think the tires have helped tremendously in that time. Wear seems to be very good. I'm much more confident driving in ice No snow at all to give this comparison but I do not doubt at all, they would be excellent after the first impressions. Although these tires mostly in the city (of gently rolling terrain - long driveway and meetings, asphalt, "cobblestone", paving), it came as streets or plow salt spreaders had not seen and has covered snow lying. Despite these conditions leads self confident and believe too that it was the snow. Outside tires of the city excel very well. There are strong. Snow fared very well, no problems with driving more snow. Regarding noise, it is good, even if we know that winter tires, so they are stronger than the summer. I had to choose Conti and some other manufacturers, and I added Conti chosen because of the ADAC and the fact that my other half drives a car. I do not regret a great tire, but it's still a bit noisy. Done for her, fuel economy and stick to the road, if it is wet, if the snow. At a moderate style of driving my (depnie sometimes you need, and sometimes go quietly) donuts keep track driving like a train on rails. To summarize for me the only downside is a bit much as the class, but it makes up for everything else. If you are looking for decent tires, and will buy Conti, you will not regret it! They seem quite indifferent, as having a normal tire without a super ultra patterns on the tread. Driving at high speeds (> 160 km / h) without any problem, besides the silence. Significantly softer than summer temperatures. Positive. The negative - no difference, very good leads. The snow is no problem, on the ice, too. For wet (humid) of the road - great. On the damp - slightly worse (but it's finally winter tire). I would definitely recommend. Read more Collapse

Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 is the best tire for which so far rushed. First of Idel first stick to the surface, no fife turns. Much better than my old Bridgestonów !!! Idalnie deal with snow and mud pośniegowym. Wet car porwadzi very confident and comfortable. Apart from this, there are quiet and have low rolling resistance. I do not have too worry about the abrasiveness because already I can see that after about 12,000 anything with them does not occur. I am pleased that I will be able to climb again dłuuuuugo :-) I recommend because they are incredible !!! Read more Collapse

I tested the tires Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 in all winter conditions and I decided to share my views on this sujet.Je'm super happy! On snow tires Continental ContiWinterContact TS850 behave very well even super! ! The stopping distance is short and the car holds the road very well. The next surprise is the low noise level! On dry soil adhesion impeccable, by cons on wet roads during rapid acceleration the tires slip a little but it is acceptable! I chose a good tire and I'm very happy! Honestly, I recommend the tires of the Continental brand! Read more Collapse

I would definitely recommend the tire, I never missed the first two seasons and road leads to the house in the mountains where I have a slope of about 30% without chains in winter!. Very well keep the two sub-20C temperatures and intermediate type + 5 In addition, you must add that were used in the BMW (rear wheel drive). I have not experienced the drag and other negative aspects associated with winter. The tires are silent when it comes to strength rating is + solid four years have led 38 thousand miles and worn. The general assessment is that buying again. Read more Collapse

Hello, tires for Octavia II. Zakupine in 10/2013. I paid 240 for pc in Warsaw. First impressions generally positive. However, due to the temperature of about 15 degrees, the tire seemed to be very flexible. Feel is also in parking maneuvers. Surprisingly not already driving. It may feel a slight swimming. But I think in miares is expected that the temperature to increase its rigidity. Appearance on the positive side, the price of more tests and ADAC in 2013 as a plus for her. After the winter, too, will prove how it behaves in the snow ... Read more Collapse

I bought a tire because of good reviews in many tests, I wanted a little run in the snow and slush, and even in these conditions the tire performs well. My only comment to this tire is the noise level in the wet, while traveling through a wet asphalt whether in the city or on the road noise is unacceptable. Compared to the Michelin Alpin A5 Continental falls far worse. Previously I had Nokian Snowtech 2 and honestly all I do not recommend this particular tire model - in all conditions bad. My next choice would certainly Vredestein. Read more Collapse

Continental Winter Contact TS accounts 850 are excellent winter tires. dry eyes of the summer. precise steering, good lateral grip. In the wet only at high speeds, they suffer some aquaplaning (over 120 km / h). In corners and on roundabouts are more than satisfactory. The snow is exceptional both on the road to the city and the mountain roads, excellent braking discrete motor skills (although I have a tune without traction control). I tested the fast lane on the Brenner motorway under intense snow no problem sealing and braking. Read more Collapse

On a wet and dry tires excel very well. Drive straight, braking - no charge. In the corners, I felt like swimming, but I see the guilt of the air temperature. This winter (2013/2014) is not in the winter. "Swimming pool" took place in the vicinity of 12 degrees C. Traction tire rain a little noise. It is not tiring. Sensational great in the snow. Dry (below 0 ° C), do not judge. However, I missed it on the ground, on dirt roads to above 0 ° C and rain. Displacement of the road, the estimate of the elevation 6 Read more Collapse

Before changing the winter tires with summer tires rolled Nokian H was quite calm. After changing to winter tires ContiWinterContakt TS850 I was shocked that they are working on quieter than the Nokian H was heaven, until the damage has been changed in the summer for the summer because these tires are super calm. In winter, mainly large town is little snow, so I have not had the opportunity to test, but sudden changes in the weather rain or snow causes sudden sensational braking and pulling smoothly. Very good tires, very well behaved on dry and wet roads ... basically ASC does not break traction with the rapid traction even on wet (290 km). The problem is the so-called "flattening tires," for example, if your car to rest for 3-4 days in the garage, while driving it will take some 30 km to stop the vibrations to be felt on the steering wheel (soft tire). after about 10,000 kilometers you hear the rumble of tires on a smooth surface (eg garage) at a speed of 30 km ... I bought tires before winter and rises on them since November 2013 because my assessment is not complete, AIW this year in my area of winter almost gone, so I was not able to fully verify all benefits, because I recognize that I bought these tires for their benefits. That's what I noticed so far is that the tires are OK. I do not drive fast, but sometimes on different surfaces have strong brakes and tires impeccably maintained. Very good tires. I drove about 12,000. km. At first contact with the snow (asphalt about 4 cm of snow) it was not to feel that something napadało. Tires "bite" in the floor. You must strongly inhibit joined ABS. They give advice, even on the ice - with common sense. Fine disperse water. Certainly calmer than I thought. I do not judge the durability because I'm too short. So far, the best winter tires possessed. I am very happy with my purchase. Read more Collapse
