This model is the successor of a tyre which rated highly by drivers and scored high in tests Goodyear UltraGrip 8.
Its greatest asset is its short braking distance, something which has been proven in tests conducted by the prestigious TÜV organisation. These tests revealed that compared to its biggest three competitors, the tyre ensures a 4% shorter braking distanceon snow. Apart from that, the tyre has many other advantages.
Besides proving their short braking distance, TÜV tests have also shown that the tyre performs considerably better than its predecessor, the Goodyear UltraGrip 8.
Its entirely new directional tread pattern performs excellently in typical winter conditions, especially on snow.
This type of performance is determined by elements of the tread like its large number of edges, sipes and tread blocks with a variable geometry. Goodyear UltraGrip 9 is made of a rubber compound enriched by special resins and vegetable oils. Such a solution ensures grip on any winter road. When driving with these tyres you can also feel confident on slush, as the thick grooves located on the tyre’s surface are responsible for its quick drainage from the tyre.
Goodyear UltraGrip 9 performs similarly in rainy conditions. The short braking distance on wet surfaces is facilitated by the modern shoulder blocks.
Driving on wet and snowy roads is supported by the deep sipes.
By investing in Goodyear UltraGrip 9, you can also expect a lower rolling resistance (more fuel savings) and exceptionally high driving comfort. This is all thanks to the tyre’s structure, specially optimised to achieve the above.
The tyre is equipped with a tread wear indicator (in the shape of a snowflake) which allows you establish the tyre’s wear easily.
Note! Goodyear Ultra Grip 9 is equipped with two types of directional tread (with or without the central groove).
Goodyear is an American tyre manufacturing group recognised the world over. Their excellent market position today would have been impossible without the efforts of Frank Sieberling, dating back to 1898. The company founder borrowed some money from his brother-in-law to establish the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company plant. The Goodyear Group keeps developing and it’s all thanks to the research laboratory founded in 1943, which regularly provides the company with new ideas.
