The Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 is a premium-range winter tyre designed for passenger cars. The overriding aim of this state-of-the-art tyre is to guarantee safety in a wide variety of winter conditions, including black ice, slush and wet and dry surfaces. Tests carried out at the Swedish Proving Ground (a test track in the Swedish town of Vidsel) have confirmed the superior characteristics of this tyre.
The Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 winter tyre features a directional tyre tread with very wide channels known as "horn lugs" which disperse water. This improves performance on snowy and wet roads. This model is characterised by the attention to detail evident in its design. The Bridgestone engineers decided to use rounded corners on the tread blocks of the Blizzak LM001. This prevents water turbulence and accelerates evacuation from under the tread.
The Bridgestone Blizzak LM001 features exceptionally accurate performance and rapid responses to the driver's every move. It guarantees outstanding sensitivity to every road surface and is the ideal companion for driver assistance systems (ESP and ABS). The product is able to easily handle the challenges of the European winter.
The tyre is manufactured by the Japanese-owned group Bridgestone, which is well-known as a global leader in the manufacture of tyres and rubber products. The group holds a strong position on the European continent, with factories and offices in several different countries as well as an R&D centre. Bridgestone tyres are famous for their top-of-the-range quality and outstanding performance. The brand is also involved in various motor sports disciplines, and the experience it gains in this field is subsequently put to use when manufacturing tyres for everyday use.
