Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact 145/70 R13 71 T

So far i've been driving on Goodyear Efficientgrip Compacts for a year and a half. 7k miles done. Too soon to assess their durability but they still seem to be new. They perform well even if there's a downpour outside. Doesn't make it harder to drive. Good tyres that stick well to the road. After i've switched those from my old Michelins my wife said she does feel the difference (better handling). Fuel usage looks decent too. You can feel some resistance while starting the car up but it's no biggie. Noice level and stuff are ok. My car isn't exactly soundproof but it isn't loud enough to be a nuisance even after several hours driving. Generally i'd recommend those. In tha spring i've had a hard time choosing new summer tyres (as the previous ones worn out).While looking I wanted to get the best product at a relatively low price so i was looking durable tyres that offer the best performance for a reasonable price.It was a season since they bought Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact, so i think it's time to tell what i think. Compared to the previous tyres those are much more quiet, got lower rolling resistance (fuel consuption is lower), there's better handling on curves as well as general grip in the wet thanks to good drainage. The Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact act very predictably so i'm more than content with them. They are quite aggressive when breaking. You can hear them a bit but in this cas it's probably the rough asphalt which is at fault (driving on it to and from work). On a smooth road the noise vanishes. Too soon to say anything about treadwear rate cause it's a few months since i fitted those and drove less than 2000 miles. I even had opportunity to chceck those on snow for 2 days (it was during march) and they don't do well in such conditions. I've driven over 20000 miles on most asphalt surfaces and must say that Goodyears excel on dry roads. Only once had a slip on wet but it was probably due to speeding at the time. I don't see much wear on the tread so far. Nothing more than a slight noise so the're very quiet too. No problem taking a nap ;) I don't believe much in the differences in rolling resistance but still no troubles there. I sure recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact. Those are tyres to be recommended. Truth to be told i bought them only recently but i'm glad i did. They hold on to the road very well both on dry and wet. Very quiet too. I'm beginning thinking about buying winter tyres and i'll definately pay attention to the same producer the Oponeo will have in stock.
