Michelin CrossClimate bears the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) mark. It may also be used where it is compulsory to drive on winter tyres. If you travel on summer or winter tyres all year round, this model is also perfect for you.

The development process lasted as long as 3 years. The tyre was tested in 7 European countries at temperatures ranging from -30°C to 40°C. Before the model was marketed, it was tested on as many as 5 million kilometres, undertook 1,000 lab tests and the final touches were taken care of by as many as 150 people.

michelin-cross-climat

This model is a much more technologically advanced design than other all-season tyres. It is no surprise that in the tyre labelling system Michelin CrossClimate has obtained the highest A rating in terms of performance on wet surfaces. Both according to the criteria used for summer and winter tyres. The tyre has also received the highest grade concerning noise.

The highest labelling class was achieved thanks to, among other things, its advanced tread. The directional tread pattern is the best protection against aquaplaning (skidding on wet surfaces). The manufacturer has also fitted the tread with 3D sipes. Their arrangement resembles the structure of summer tyres, but the geometry is similar to that used on winter tyres. With all that, the width of the sipes changes depending on the conditions. Thanks to this, the tyre bites into the pavement, taking care of traction and appropriate stability on bends regardless of the conditions (also on slippery surfaces).

Apart from the 3D sipes, the tyre is provided with blocks having bevelled edges. They ensure a large tyre/surface contact area, meaning a short braking distance on different types of surface. Michelin CrossClimate is made from a flexible rubber compound. This is another element which improves the tyre’s behaviour on wet, dry and snowy roads. The silica used in the model reduces the heat emission in the tyre.

Michelin is one of the largest tyre manufacturers on the market. The company was founded in 1889 in France. It owns such brands as Kleber, Kormoran or BFGoodrich. Michelin offer includes the highest class products. The tyre is only produced in Europe, in two Spanish and two German factories.

    Opinion from outside IE

Tyres purchased in size 185/65 R15 for a car that essentially moves around the city. Due to virtually no winters, I do not see the need to use and hold two sets of tyres, hence the choice. They are not cheap, but still less expensive than buying and maintaining two sets of tyres for a car that drives up to 10k km per year. Michelins are the most appropriate. The car feels stable, comfortable and quiet. They are good on both dry and wet surfaces. Bought set a six months ago and had a chance to test them in the temperature range from +20 to -15. In the hot days the car does not floats and behaves same as in the cold temperatures. Brand new tyres have an 8 mm tread. After about 6k km, it is less than 0.5 mm less on both axes, so it should be long enough, even if the summer is very hot. I did not notice the differences in the rolling resistance. The only thing that concerns me is fact that subjectively on the snow or mud they are worse than Dębica Frigo 2 (yes I know that the tests on YT boasted a lot, but I have mine opinion) where I changed from, and admit that it was a 2 year old with almost full tread and this is definitely not a premium tyre (it costs just over half the price of the Michelin Crossclimate). I would choose them again, because I would rather use a single tyre within 5 years and replace it with a new one instead of throwing out two pairs of tyres with almost full tread because of the age of the rubber, or worse again ... If you make up to 10,000 a year, I recommend it in city traffic. If you live in the mountains, or you do more passes, only 2 sets of erasers, and so it will stay in my second car. Read more Collapse

I bought these tyres due to the need of replacing summer ones- changed from Pirelli P7. Un fortunately had no chance to test them in winter conditions yet, so I cannot judge, that’s why I level note 4. Durability also cannot judge, because I had them fitted for too short period. In terms of using these tyres in summer urban driving they are brilliant! There are so quiet and in premium class vehicle on the neutral the car levitating above the ground. I already had two other premium tyre sets and none was so quiet. Tyres very well absorb road irregularities. All I can say that my Audi A6 only proved how good and quiet the car can be. Already the assembly process of the road test, it turned out that they are very well balanced. The visibly lower combustion. On the motorway at higher speeds also less noisy , for example bars on the side of the motorway on the sections which are acoustically louder and give a safety resistance. With these tyres you cannot hear! If winter conditions turn out to be as good as in the summer, it never buy another tire model. I had my doubts about their appearance, but they are large, the tread looks very sporty and the side walls are indistinguishable from other summer. I have no doubt that the tires will face in winter - especially in recent years show that the tire change is meaningless and will be more than enough to fulfil their role. It is worth investing in these tyres and sincerely recommend! Read more Collapse

Before buying these tyres asking nearly a month of time. I checked the other tyres and comparing them all etc. I was talking with a lots of my friends discussing them experience. The opinions were divided. Some of my asked people I know where revive Michelins saying that all season cannot be good for all weather conditions. Even though I decided to buy these tyres. After fitting them I took off on a tour of 1800 km and I am really impressed :) Tyres are quiet, nicely suppress road inequalities. I’m curious how they will behave in the wet conditions. Germany motorway with no limits did 196 kmh in the rain, looking for water flowing tracks. Probably someone will say that it is stupid, but the effect of driving with these tires was and is wonderful for me, the car was going like on the rails.!!! gentle movement of the steering wheel and all that. The manufacturer has done a good job, as competition is probably already crying. I recommend these tyres for those who want to feel 100% safe driving his car. And I’m always curious to winter, I’m sure I share your opinion. For me, the best tyres for which so many have mounted. Read more Collapse

So far I did about 1k km mainly on motorway and in the city. In conclusion, I am satisfied. I will try to compare them to the previous tyres which were Dunlop Winter Sport 3D for winter and Michelin Energy Saver for summer. From Dunlop’s certainly quieter and Michelins too (but keep in mind that these tyres were around 6 years old. They run very well, I see no objection. They are not worse than those I had, and there is no problem with the change. It is possible that Dunlop’s would be a little better in the snow, but in winter, very rarely ride in such conditions (in practice a few days, or not at all). Mileage I am traveling during the year is steady so even if some times my old tyres were better in average Michelins were much better. Passes are fairly evenly distributed throughout the year for me, even if they were also times than others tires would be better. The most important think is that there is no need to change them every season. I recommend Read more Collapse

It describes usage in period from November to March. When I bought Michelins, my local dealer who has not had them in his offer yet strongly revive buying an all season tyres. He was wrong! Winter season 2015/2016 same as last winter did not surprise with low temperatures and snow falls. Light snow falls and light icing in the morning only. Tyres did a great job! My attempts of emergency braking on the snow does not differ much braking on winter tyres. Grip in the wet (rain) - EXCELLENT! In dry conditions much better than winter tyres (and summer). Test in the summer heat has not been carried yet. Regarding the road noise, they are my first directional tyres and they are quieter than the summer asymmetric ones - are really great quiet. Well, most important advantage is tat there is no need to replace them every season :) for example, in Germany, no one gives a fine for the lack of winter tyres :) :) :) I recommend Read more Collapse

Decision to purchase an all season tyres I was considering almost two years. I looked at the different models on the rim 15 and 16 inch rims. Finally we decided to purchase an 15 inch wheels – simply due to the price. I wondered a lot about the specific model. In the end, he convinced me a certificate for countries where winter tyres are mandatory. Recently I travelled constantly just with winter tyres fitted and the difference are really noticeable – they are much quieter and breaking distance is much shorter. Also they stick to the road in the rain very well. Consequently, there is a fairly high profile are more comfortable than 16 inch ones. An interesting think is repeating Michelin logo on the side edges of the tread. As for grip on snow, I do not know, but give 5 stars because of tests I could watch and approval :) Works wet and dry very well. As for the reasonable price - a fantastic tyre for me :) Read more Collapse

Upon receipt of tyres I had a negative feeling. It seemed to me that they have about 1/3 less tread of a winter tyre and 90% that was !!! After analysing and assuming that their first impression was disbelief when braking because braking leaving his strange but pleasant in an open glass slightly audible. I realized quickly that the braking distance was shortened significantly, it going, I could, even in the rain to get into large pools of water on the summer attracted me and for those already well dispersed water !!! As for durability I did notice that the tread has fallen – I drive safely therefore move but for the moment I can not just say something wrong with the mega surprise tyre, the first obtained the approval winter - one thing is certain will not regret every dollar you spend. I am a supporter of all season tyres but now I understand their particular quality tires will not change to another !!! Read more Collapse

Large annual mileage is determining to buy a premium brand tyres. In our geographic position, it is reasonable to purchase two sets of tyres: summer and winter ones. CrossClimate it is a ferly new tyre on the market and due to this fact I was slightly concern about the use of winter I making this purchase. Intensive use during the winter dispel my doubts about the performance of the tyre. Perhaps the winter, we have recently, are not the best challenge for all season tyres, but all in all they are very good tyres. I wanted to buy a good tyres as often travel with us five members on the board. The last test for these tyres will be a hot summer and high temperatures. I guess three full seasons (summer and winter) fully repay the purchase of them. Remember! Tyres are just a fraction of safe driving and comfortable! I always remember to check regularly the suspension, brakes and tyres pressure. Read more Collapse

Tyres on the dry and wet stick to the road. ABS responds very late, there is no way of losing the traction during acceleration, which on Fuldach EcoControl sometimes happened before. Michelin in my opinion can be easily compared Conti PC2 and it is even better in terms of the noise level and comfort. The tyre is very quiet and very well suppressed inequality on the roads, despite the higher load index. At the moment I cannot judge traction on snow as we have summer now. Rolling resistance much lower than with Continentals .Tyre looks like it is made really well carefully and for that we still really nice tread. I do not know how to be durability but have contacts with Michelin Energy Saver tyres, I wish CorssClimate not be much worse. I can honestly recommend tyres, even as a typical summer, both in this role very well. The usefulness of winter only need to be tested. Read more Collapse

I think the tyre is new on the market since spring 2015 years. I rode on the nearly 5,000 miles. km in urban conditions and motorways (50/50), in all weather conditions - hot summer, heavy rain (so that the water was on the highway). The tyres stick the road well. The car runs confident and safe. On my nor really powerful car which is 108 hp and Picasso did not start off losing a grip. Very good behaviour on the wet road while sharp braking with a speed around 70 km / h (it was a lot of water on the motorway). I cannot really judge how the tyre will handle a snow and slush as there was no winter yet. I do not regret the purchase. I always drove my car in the summer and winter on the premium tyres like Michelins and was always not 100 percent convinced. ( This was caused by the noise) - These tyres are worth the money and worth recommending! Read more Collapse

These Michelin were my first investment in quality tyres and the payoff has been tremendous. I live in Ireland where I've had ample opportunity to assess the tyres in both wet and dry conditions and they have performed beautifully. There is a marked feeling of stability on the road over my previous tyres (Bridgestones), road handling markedly improved and, given the cross-over tread, a surprising improvement in road noise and roll resistance. I haven't had a chance to test them in snow conditions but bought them as I intend to travel to Andorra this winter. I also like the looks of them. Buying from OPONEO over local tyre shops saved me €25-32 per tyre, delivery was spot on. Highly recommend both the Michelin's and OPONEO. Read more Collapse

One of the best tyres I have invested in. Although they marginally tend to use more fuel they are worth it since the road handling is perceptible. You still need to be cautious however there are no surprises on black ice or slush. I havent' had the chance to try them on snow yet. I have covered some miles on them and they still look brand new. Remember that tyre condition and wearing are highly dependent on proper tracking and camber angles. Read more Collapse

I bought it because I had quite a queue at each season to the vulcanizer. For this, I found that the 700 km a month there is nothing to play with tires specially for the season. I was looking for such a long time to be good for dry and rain, and where have behaved in the winter. Make no mistake that winter tires can handle any situation. I had some cars and I tried many tire manufacturers. Recently, the company SAVA tires summer and winter. In winter, snow each winter tire ideally go. But you always have imagination and without it there is no tire will not help. Today, I changed my car and I do not regret the choice of tires. I recommend them to anyone who expects savings and comfort. Do not impress me by rain, sun, hail and ice at -7 ° C We will see how the snow and mud slip, but I think I will be very happy. These tires will result in the closure tire services. There is no problem to change the summer and winter tires, no problem with the sudden frost, snow or early spring surprising drivers. Save time and money by replacing, for the next five years - because as I go up the save 1000zł on niewymienianiu tires. Solid tire, when you buy I doubt it will be a good exercise in the snow, but it appeared that is great in the snow. In my heavy car with traction support systems on snow me and rolled on dry pavement - I am not able to enter the car slipping, disturb me only other road users trying in vain to move from one place :) and seriously, it really recommend solution. Tires purchased early fall of 2015. I had brought in all conditions. The tire works well in dry and wet conditions. The noise and the braking length can be compared to those that occur in high-class tire / winter, when snow and frost large enough, I put the car in a controlled slide to see how it behaves. And carbon as the only drive the front wheels of my car. The tire in case of loss of adhesion reported in advance to make adjustment to the track. Very good your strategy in extreme conditions. As for the length of braking on snow, it compares the braking Winter tire middle class. The appearance of the tire satisfies even difficult. successful model perfectly season tires. After driving 10,000 km and the end of each time. For dry holds well and is very quiet, very good braking, ABS penalty turn. Wet the same. Snow has little bits, but as there are no tips to forgive him, without thorns is slipping. By the way, I was driving on a dirt road with deep snow and quite frankly, I counted with it that I can bury him. It turned out that the tires gave advice which I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a fan of Michelin, but these tires are great. With a clear conscience recommend. In the life of a large number of kilometers done and tested different tires go bald and was indiscriminately but in winter, it is important and here CrossClimate come true. Hello, this multigrade tire, it was determined that such a purchase, I read a lot of reviews and most were not too interesting for this type of tire, but I have to say your opinion and evaluation. Tires led 3000 km of sunny days and rainy winters yet I failed not to judge. High temperatures and sunny days at high speeds the tires work well, do not stray into various companies that had so far. Rain and rain, and here's a nice positive surprise, the tires worked very well, bumping to large basins car fled and lost direction, when buying and fear. Summarizing recommended tires and I think everyone will be satisfied, at a price we can not complain, but something for something and safety also matters. Read more Collapse

I decided to CrossClimate because I came out only two sets of tires factory. I decided to take a chance, convinced me to buy 3PMSF approval winter, no summer tire so far it has not received. Its function in perfect harmony with my needs (drive only in the city throughout the year without replacing the tires). I am very curious to see how it will behave in the winter, but looking at the relationship K Holowczyc tests in France and have full confidence in Michelin am convinced that I will be glad winter. The tires are performing better than originally equipped Hankooki, burning the city 7,4l / 100, the palpable difference in braking and driving comfort on wet and dry surfaces. I wanted to buy this tire for a while. I decided to take a chance (this is my first season tires) and so far I am very happy. The first thing I notice after amendment, the low noise level inside - the tires are quieter than previous years Dunlopy, which are also noted as quiet, but they barely heard. Second - low rolling resistance, resulting in savings to burn at 0.5-0.7 l in the city. I include a small least slightly higher because of the hardness index increased load (94) in this size (225/45/17), but you should reduce the pressure of 0.1 bar and is OK. Tires purchased primarily from savings, curiosity and because of the winter with us in vain. As far as the surface is dry or wet, I have no objection, the tires behave properly. Many people complain about the noise. My car is quite noisy from a speed of 120 km / h and maybe I did not hear anything. When it comes to driving on snow, it is a total failure. Tires generally should not be marked M + S Climb the hill is a huge problem. For tighter turns, even at minimum speed before running. These tires do and do not hold the snow. Well, but so far I have only three days behind snow proves that the purchase of these tires was a good solution. Overall I would recommend. Read more Collapse

They do not lose their property below zero, or do not fly when it is very hot. This applies to both dry and wet roads. Very quiet Michelin. The snow is worse you feel, that with the snow, but a radical difference to winter tires impossible to see. Even with the power of 250 km, there are no problems with moving off and truncation. It is less comfortable. It is a pity that there is no version 91 of the most popular and probably 205/55 R16 tires. Moreover, very quiet, much better braking in the wet than the previous Vredestein. I was thinking of buying 2 sets of tires (summer and winter) or so-called tires. multigrade. The choice fell on Michelin tires - summer with winter approval and I was not disappointed. The comfort of use, their maintenance-free operation (no need for annoying replacements every season), very good traction on dry and wet surfaces provide a lot of fun with a more dynamic driving. The disadvantage is a bad grip on the snow, but when there is already slush, the tire "recalls" what it was created for and its behavior improves significantly. Attractive tread attracts interest from familiar people. Read more Collapse

I bought them because I am the way Poland - England and riding over England. Previously mounted on the ecological control Fulda and now I would say certainly the best second michaski are eco and eco Fulda 3 continetal. Michaski are busy .... braking on roads and wet or dry driving by road over 130 shorter braking distance and there is a silence inside the car. Snow plays well enough, tread mill 17000 thousands can see a little Starl but not like in Fulda, I recommend Read more Collapse

I put this tire at the beginning of the winter season. This could be an interesting solution for years, especially for those vehicles with pressure sensors. No need for seasonal change of tires / wheels is also no need to buy a second set of pressure sensors and prolong the life of the car kit. This winter season has been to Cross Climate successful because in a week experienced temperatures of -5 to 12 degrees. I am sorry for those who rode winter tires 12. Read more Collapse

Miechelin, he made a good tire - drove approximately 3000 km. I then exchanged against new - because new tires were lumpy. (Production DOT1015 Germany), having exchanged for new - is slightly better (I did 1200km.- but are not well, the tires are deformed -In what happens uncomfortable - the worst at a speed of 40-70km / h The controlled wheels on the HUNTER machine 9700. - This machine shaking :) -. prefer to buy other tires, because I feel sorry for time. I decided to purchase this tire after seeing the test Holowczyc. I decided to test himself. I was driving on the tire of 8000. km in different conditions, in and outside of the city very well behaved on wet pavement, disperse water. On a slippery surface, I was surprised grip on snow and ice tire works very well. I tried to force her to go into a skid, unfortunately, we failed to self clinging to his lane. I can highly recommend this tire. Read more Collapse

Although leads to a short on the tires, I would definitely recommend these donuts. Michelin can not be compared with other less expensive tires because they are unbeatable. The tires are quiet and have a very good grip. We'll see how they will perform in winter :) I recommend SHOPPING WITH OPONEO, sell tires ORIGINAL SOUND FOR MY PIENIĄDZE..W cases were cheaper than I received a free set :))))) reliable company! I drove 30 degrees and -20 degrees, rain, snow, mud - in the end is something that is fair to acknowledge ..... UNIVERSAL. I do not feel discomfort with some tires in summer or winter. I have a wide variety of trips and frequent visits in the mountainous areas of the country - from the mud, snow or grass .... it goes without a problem. When buying had many doubts, but now highly recommended. Respect for Michelin. Read more Collapse
