Michelin Pilot Road 4

Tyre details:

The Michelin Pilot Road 4 is the latest offering from the French tyre group and is designed for sport-touring and touring motorcycles. It performs exceptionally well in any weather conditions. Thanks to its improved 2CT Pilot Road 4 technology, the tyre is even more efficient than its predecessor. Increased mileage results in less frequent tyre changes in the long-term and reduces the overall cost of using the tyre.

The use of 2AT (dual angle) technology is a new addition to this version. This technology ensures additional driving stability for motorcycles placed under a lot of stress. The motorcycle handles better both when driving on straight roads and when going round corners. The rubber has been enriched with new silica compounds, resulting in better grip when driving on both wet and dry surfaces. The system of blades has also been improved.

The new XST+ ( X sipe technology) improves the motorcycle's driving and braking performance, even at pedestrian crossings and other lines painted on the roads. The Pilot Road 4 comes in 3 versions: standard, GT (designed for heavy motorcycles) and Trail - designed for enduro motorcycles. The only difference is the hardness of the compound used and its distribution.

The Michelin Pilot Road 4 comes in sizes ranging from 17 to 19 inches. The tyres have been approved for the BMW R1200 RT motorcycle and will be installed as original parts in almost half of the models released.

I bought a HONDA VFR750 days before getting Brilliant Michelin Pilot Road 4 and i say they are like glued to the asphalt like crazy on the hot days and very stable during temperate times. When it comes to wet off-road there no best tyres on the market. They seem better than Dunlop ROADSMART. I know that if i'm gonna take a passenger and a lot of luggage they would still retain a great grip. Michelin Pilot Road 4 are to be recommend if someone is looking for versatile tyres because especially when temperature rapidly changes. You need to drive like 500 yards to warm them up though. I drive a 2015 ZZR 1400 and after the OE tyres wore out went back to the Michelin Pilot Road 4. The rear tyre is now 1mm, but i done 5600 miles on them and wear is always faster in the last 500 miles with any tyres. I don't yet know how long the Michelin lasts. In the wet, they are impeccable, the only minor downside is that they take a little time to warm up in the cold. These tyres are impressive and offer stable cornering speed and braking, all in one perfect tyre. My last 2 bikes were a ZZR 1100 and a Bandit 1200 all with tyres Brilliant Pilot Road 4. I decided to buy Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres to my Honda Deaville 700 after reviewing few article in the automotive press, My previous Pirelli tyres were not to bad but Michelin tyres are incomparably better.d. I drove about 5000 miles , mainly on the city and a little in motorway in different weather conditions and i cant complain. I had no problems with them during the whole season. Good rolling resistance. Driving comfort phenomenal! They handle well in the dry but they are also excellent in the slippy, greasy roads. In addition, the pattern tread looks nice on my car what is important thing for me. The tyre very well absorbs irregularities ensuring comfort during the drive. I vave to add that I am a customer of the Oponeo online shop since 3 years and I have never been disappointed. I do recommend Michelin Pilot Road tyres to our customers. I will buy them again. According to the specifications and properties Michelin Pilot Road 4 behave perfectly in the wet (Honda NC700X C-ABS) and is much better compared to Metzler Z8, which led over 10 thousand miles. The bike has become much more manageable and i can feel it clearly, but on dry surfaces have been a tiny bit worse. The traction is superb (but once the tyres are warmed up. The Metzelers were capable before warming up but despite hat Michelin outperforms them. I had the opportunity to test them on track with Michelin Pilot Road 4 and Metzelerach. Due to the fact that driving on the track it was very clear they are superior. If you are looking for something with a gread surface feedback look no further. Read more Collapse

This is my second set of the Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres wich I mounted to my BMW R1200GS . Their durability is high. I have done quite a lot of miles on them and and the wear rate is about the same as that of other brands, except that the others have more tread depth, resulting in a longer service life. The Michelin Pilot Road 4 provide good grip to dry road but during the rain tyres perform also very well .Another positive thing it is how oponeo works It the site was very friendly when I called to custommer service i have recived all information about the product. I do recommend. Read more Collapse

Michelin Pilot Road 4 are the best road tyre for wet weather. Good dry grip as well. Not as much as a sports tyre would offer but enough to use it on just about any type of road. Good for 8,000 miles miles with a mixture of 70% travel and 30% of sporty driving pleasure. They warm up very fast which ensures good traction. Good resistance to more rough conditions. I'd definately go for Michelin Pilot Road 4 in the future too. Read more Collapse

I decided to purchase Michelin Pilot Road 4 after reading some reviews and so far they are the best summer tyres I have ever had. The tyres perform very well on wet or dry surface. The Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres are very comfotable and damping inequalities. The noise inside the car decreased significantly and noticeably lower rolling resistance. The tyres are resistant torn. and quite durable. For sure I will buy those tyres again in the future. I love these tyres! Previously i had Michellin Pilot Road 3s and they were good. They perform well in both dry and wet condition and little more aggressive driving seem to be even better. A lot of confidence when on in any amount of rain. The tread wear also seems better than the at predecessor. Overall I rate them on 4/5 - they have to got something to aim for! Read more Collapse

Much more rigid than the previous PR3s and lacks a bit of feeling in the wet and in the dry when not to push. However much grip and they do not move, really grippy in the wet but just lacks a little sensation. Lasting well and currently up to 8,000 miles so I think the change at about 10,000 miles. Great tires, incredible mileage and very good grip level. I use them on a sport and do not feel the need to grippier tires for road use, it has enough grip. Only downside is that the tire does not seem fast enough to face (5000 miles) Read more Collapse
