Nokian WEATHERPROOF SUV is a premium, all-year-round tyre. It was developed to provide the highest level of security in difficult road conditions experienced throughout the year. It is developed to provide a precise ride on summer roads and a safe and comfortable drive on winter roads also.

Nokian WEATHERPROOF SUV exploits a directional tread pattern which offers an all-round performance, throughout the whole year. There are small cuts on the tyre surface called sipes which literally bite into the snow. Several manoeuvres such as “pulling away”, braking and accelerating are improved and stopping distances are reduced on slippery surfaces. Circumferential and lateral grooves are optimized to remove excess water and slush, and this helps reduce aquaplaning and slush-planing risks. Driving on winter or summer roads, is therefore easy and stress-free.

Nokian WEATHERPROOF SUV uses a flexible modern rubber composite, and this provides supreme adhesion over a wide range of temperatures and it repels mechanical wear.

Nokian WEATHERPROOF SUV is produced by Nokian Tyres, a tire manufacturer, which comes from Finland. They launched the first winter tyre, which made them famous. Nokian Tyres tires are the most-respected tyre company in Northern Europe, Central and Eastern Europe Russia and North America. They are a premium-range brand, which offer the best in tyre quality and performance for their price. Nokian Tyres are a proven brand in challenging conditions and are liked by drivers all around the world.

These tyres I can compare only to a few years old Geolanders AT-s also all season tyres. I replaced old tyres despite them having still a good tread left. Driving on the icy roads no traction at all. The first surprise was a significant reduction in noise throughout the speed range. In the dry conditions are the best tyres I had (over 20 years of different cars), virtually no aquaplaning puddles 5-7cm speed of 60 km / h. Bad point is very strong dispersion of water – Rear window is dirty almost all the time. After a first strong snowfall I can easily say that traction and grip is on very high level and safe. Grip is even better then in Debica winter tyres which has previously fitted. Fuel consumption is lower at about 0,7 l/100km compared to my previous Yokohama s. Read more Collapse

My tyres are in the size of 225/65/17 - tread after doing around 3,5 k km almost as brand new. At the current low temperatures still stiff. In the corners and on the water very good grip. The problem is with balancing them - Russian production (larger sizes are only manufactured in Russian factory) without the special balancing machine with roll really hard to do it. (I spent a lot of money and time traveling from one garage to another to find someone who can do it properly ) . Only in main car dealer tyres were fitted properly and steering wheel stopped getting vibrations with a speeds over 60-70. Mud road left without problem, although AT-S Yokohama gave better advice. Opinion from outside IE

Bought to replace OEM Continental tyres. Vast improvement, wet grip is really good in both light and heavy rain. Dry grip is also very good. Snow wise the old tyres even with an AWD car we weren't able to get up the hill that our street is on. These tyres had no problem in handling the snow (5-6"). Noise wise, were a bit louder than anticipated to start with but after 200-300 miles there was a vast improvement and they are running really quietly. Not able to comment on wear yet but all signs so far are good. Unless the wear is really poor we will definately buy again. Read more Collapse

I can only say what a great tyre in the wet and snow. My Evoque came with Pirelli Scorpions, a well promoted and respected tyre but within the first couple of days driving on the Nokian all weather in the rain I found my confidence in the Land Rover handling was markedly higher. In the dry the grip is extremely high and precise. Not an easy tyre to find in the UK due to its lack of exposure but in the continent it is well know and seems to have a god reputation. I will definitely be buying these tyres in the future. Read more Collapse

Wanted an all year all season tyre and this one comes out well in the tests. Only had them a short time and it's been wet and warm this winter so far so can't give a definitive opinion on much really!. However, good driving feel on the motorway, sure footed in the wet, comfortable and quiet. Confident that it will handle any UK snow or slush well. Hard driving in summer would be nowhere near as good as a dedicated summer tyre but then that's the same for all blocky tread patterns. Read more Collapse

Replaced OEM Yokohama Geolanders on Subaru Forester with Nokian Weatherproof SUV and the Nokian tyres are far superior in the wet. The tyres are quiet and comfortable and I have not noticed any decrease in fuel economy. Only used in deep snow once but the grip was fantastic. Wear seems reasonable - thread depth gone from 8mm to 6mm in 16,000 km. They also look fantastic and the wear indicators showing the remaining thread depth are really useful. Highly recommended. I drove more than 5k km with these tyres fitted. Winter in low temperatures and a hot summer. It was a very good choice. Very good grip in the sow and wet roads. In the summer safe and comfortable. There is only a little difference between winter tyres and them. (the braking distance is a little longer). The only minus is a noise level which at a rate is higher than in just a summer tyres. I recommend. Read more Collapse

I used Nokian tyres fitted to my car with an automatic gearbox. I am not an aggressive diver. As an all season tyres they work really well. Tread looks like typical winter tyres but they do well on dry and wet roads, maybe even better. The snow will do as well, but not fancy. I have not noticed the premature wear of the tread, although they seem to be soft. In my opinion it is a good choice. Read more Collapse

On a dry they do not have as good grip as summer tyres , probably because of the aggressive tread patterns (the wide drainage channels). The rain almost as good as RainSport. With temperatures around zero do not lose their characteristics. In the winter conditions I didn’t check them yet. Still waiting for snow falls. Read more Collapse

Bought two sets, one for Mazda CX-7 and one for Suzuki S-Cross. Both 4x4. Not a bother. Quieter than my previous summer tires. Great handling in dry, wet, icy and snowy conditions but had only had a bit of snow. Drove 10.000km in August through Europe with temps between 25-35 and they managed best. Read more Collapse
