The Hankook Kinergy eco K425 is a tyre that helps reduce harmful emissions – it is environmentally friendly both during its manufacture and when in use. The model is designed for passenger cars and is exceptionally good for both everyday driving around town and for longer journeys. Its unique asymmetric tread pattern means that the tyre quickly disperses water to the sides. This reduces the risk of the vehicle skidding and limits the risk of aquaplaning.

The Hankook Kinergy eco K425 offers excellent grip, whatever the weather. Thanks to the use of a new compound, produced using an innovative procedure (using new mixing technology), the tyre has exceptionally low rolling resistance. This obviously results in reduced fuel consumption, which is guaranteed to please all drivers looking for good value running costs. Apart from its lightness, the compound is also noted for its high durability, which makes the tyre resistant to mechanical damage. The model wears slowly and can be used for longer, which is another point in its favour from an environmental point of view. Its new silica-based technology gives it better braking specifications on wet surfaces and reduces noise. With its unique specifications, the designers have managed to instantly muffle tyre noise, making even everyday driving a genuine pleasure.

    Opinion from outside IE

I went on this set in 1,5 year 80'000km. Impressions are as follows: BRAND NEW: + superb dry traction + very good wet performance + mega quiet, good sound suppression + very good suppression of road irregularities, the car feels comfy + strong grip, difficult to cause ABS to work even with sudden braking (in relation to other tyres) + somewhat nice looking tread, but less important - MADE IN CHINA, unfortunately, now they are done in China, it was heralding faster consumption and I think that's the way it is AFTER THE DISTANCE ~ 80'000km: - they are not so quiet anymore, they are average - this distance, with a calm and economical driving without being reckless, ate them up to ~ 3-4mm, so they quickly worn off to my eye. + on the wet still great (better only I have had was UniRoyal Rainsport) +/- on dry is so, so - rolling resistance increased, and so the combustion rate - on the slippery road one has to be more careful, the back of the car hasn't the best grip + so far I have not piunctured any. - on the highway they are louder, while the new ones were much quieter. - we have a mild winter and there is no snow anywhere, so I have not changed them and, frankly, they are bad on slippery conditions compared to other summer ones that I have had, generally light snow slush makes it hard to drive but I take into accont that they already had 80000km of mileage and only half tread, so maybe it just has to be this way. Would I buy them again? I chose between Nokian and Vredestein and a few more. I did not bear that these were made in china .... next I will buy Vredestein or some other premium brand. If someone is not too reckless it should last longer. They say that hard tyres are less safe, but if you're a level-headed driver they will last longer. If I compare them to others, UniRoyal RainExpert was better than them and they were perfect tyres for rain and worse weather in general, while in hot weather they were worse, worn out similarly to those and I thought that they would last a lot longer than those. I drive rather calmly, which makes all of 4 tyres wear out very evenly. Read more Collapse

Regarding the tyre itself - I'm with the price, definitely better both in terms of road grip and the noise than Presto, which I had previously mounted. It performs well on a wet road, does not lose grip, only a really deep puddle causes a slight skid. During braking it behaves predictably, it is easy to feel the moment of balancing on the verge of the grip and in this field it beats Presto, which very often activated the ABS. Until now, I had the brand's winter tyres bought in December 2013, used in the first winter until late spring, and in the season 2014/2015 founded in November then they traveled all summer and the following winter 2015/2016. In total, 80,000 km passed, of which about 45 thousand in a typical summer season. After removing the front, the tread is flush with the winter wear indicator (2mm left for the TWI), and the rear tyres are still suitable for one winter season, they have about 4mm tread above the "winter" indicator. So I hope that summer Hankooks will be as strong and I will be as happy with them as with the winter tyres of this brand. Read more Collapse

I have chosen those tyres after a long time of thinking and analysing many tests I found on the Internet. I considered to buy many different tyres of some upmarket brands. Rolling resistance, noise level and wear are at the high level in Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres. I wasn’t disappointed with my purchase. Very good tyres at a really good price. I searched many websites and OPONEO is one of the cheapest offer and it is certainly the company with the greatest experience. That’s why I decided to buy tyres from them. It may look like it is just a good plug but see for yourself and search the Internet. Even if something would happen with the tyres I know that it is a well-known company and it will still exist :) I can also add that the tyres behave great on dry surfaces during hot days. Similarly on wet surfaces during cloudy and rainy days. Summing up Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres are perfect and I recommend them to all. That’s my opinion :) Successful selection and safe driving. I decided to buy some Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres after reviewing several tests in the automotive press, where they had quite high positions. As for the price / performance ratio, they are doing very well. I traveled about 3,000 km with a large middle class estate on them. I assess the traction on dry asphalt high, there is no fear of losing grip and they quickly overcome curves or sudden braking. They perform relatively well on wet surfaces, they hold well from side to side, braking does not cause loss of stability. One problem is rapid starting on wet asphalt, even with a gasoline engine it's easy to lose grip. Well, maybe I demand too much from tyres at this price. A serious minus, however, for problems in balancing the wheels - I've done that twice, including the demounting. At approx. 90 km / h there are slight vibrations, which weren't there on with a winter Hankook tyres. It pumping them up about 0.2 bar helped. Perhaps i just had some worse batch than regular ... I was thinking a lot before buying new tyres but my fitter advised me to buy Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres. He finally convinced me when he explained what are their advantages. The tyres are remarkably stable on dry and wet surfaces. Very good, short braking distance. They’re also very quiet what is their one of the largest advantages. Honestly, I was the most delighted with the tyres behaviour on wet. I could not belive how good they are. You can move with a very high speed. Of course, without exaggeration. The grip is good even in the puddles. There are some minuses of course. After 6 months I noticed there is about 2 millimeters less on the tread. I think that wear could be better. But I believe there are no products free of flaws. Maybe that’s the price for the perfect grip. However, I do not recognise it as some big problem. Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres still have so many advantages I would buy them again. Read more Collapse

In my opinion, KINERGY are tyres worth recommending, in the subject of "Eco" tyres I had the opportunity to test Michelins and Fuldas, of course Micheliny are priced from the higher end than Fulda or Hankooks, but I do not see a big difference, nor did i notice any significant difference in the behavior of the Michelin and Hankook, but Fulda was a lot worse than Hankook. It is clearly harder and much less stable on wet, and it does not reflect in better fuel consumption. It is good that there is a choice among cheaper brands, a few years back, fuel-saving tyres, they produced only by "expensive" brands like Michelin or Continental. One should only remember that with this type of tyres, drivers will not be happy about the dynamic driving, such tyres do not have good grip, unless in the heat ... For this they repay with a little lower fuel consumption and longevity. On my family car they are doing very well. Read more Collapse

Immediately after replacing Continental (for wearing regular tires) basalt breaks torn the new tyre - month of use (it was very hot at around 35 degrees). It is not suitable for repair. I had to buy a different set. The tyre is very plastic, which gives excellent results during cold and rainy days. On a hot day, it gets a fingerprint reader and I have a feeling that it's a mix of rubber. Another deadly adventure once again in a hot summer day, projection: sidewalk or tram cross and damage on the side of the tyre (break - cut a piece of rubber). I was hopeful for a great tyre after years of exclusivity with Continental ContiEcoContact. I came back to Continental. To sum up, the parameters are great but only on the highways and roads for this tyre. Tragedy in areas with old unrevolved roads and above all for driving above 30 degrees C. I will not go back to Hankook unless I buy an F1 car. Read more Collapse

I chose the tyres out of curiosity and because of the relatively good prices. I watched the tests of this tyre and other users' comments. I already have tyres. I do not regret switching. The tyre stays on the rim regardless of surface and weather conditions. There is no squeaking or lace effect in the corners. Inequalities epiminate like most tyre brands. After traveling 1200 miles, there are no signs of wear. When it comes to noise during driving, I can not hear the tyres, so they should be locked in the garage. After they appeared in the car, I find that they are not worse than the top-shelf tyres. I like the quality of the rubber. When you drag your finger on the tyre side, it does not slip. The same applies to clean tread. In general, I recommend it because of the very good quality and reasonable price. Read more Collapse

I must admit I didn’t know much about Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres before I bought them. According to the opinions I found on the Internet and some advises from my friends, they seemed to be good. I also compared prices and I believe they are not the cheapest brand nor the most expensive. I think the price is reasonable. Initial impression of the tyres is that they are quiet. Later I noticed other pluses like low rolling resistance or smooth ride. Handling is very good. I use my car very often so I could test the tyres in many different situations and weather conditions. I have to say the grip is fantastic. It is excellent on dry but it’s also impressive on wet. The same is with braking – good both on dry and wet surfaces. I can honestly propose buying Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres to other drivers. Read more Collapse

After driving a few thousand miles I got used to these tyres and actually I should not complain. Huge comfort, well suppresses inequalities, and at the same time is quite calm - not without reason ECO words and flowers in relief on the profile. However, this characteristic of the tyre affects the stability of driving. You can feel it especially on the corner and at highway speeds. [My tyres on the front were harder and made me happy in the corners - I miss it] But it's so bad... now I drive a little more quietly, which has a direct impact on tyre wear :) If I had to choose, would I like to buy these tyres again? - No, but I seriously think over the PRIME2 tyres, the same producer with the speed of V. I bought these tyres with the idea of investing in something better than the cheapest products (some of them already disappointed last season) and I was not disappointed. The tyres perform very well. The quality for the price is highly satisfactory and can be recommended for everyone. The tyres have been installed on three different cars and in different sizes and they all work just as well. They do not make noise on a dry surface. In addition, I have the impression that I have slightly lower fuel consumption compared to previous tyres. On a wet surface, the car is steady. They drain water nicely and do not have aquaplaning. The only thing I'm afraid of is durability after a few years of use. However, the tyres produced in China create a stereotype that I hope will not be confirmed :-) Read more Collapse

Hello. I'm currently finishing a second summer season on Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres what means about 16 thousand miles. I use them in my Mazda 6 and I drive to my work every day (about 24 miles daily). It is the road with lots of curves and I drive fairly quickly but without exaggeration. That’s why the treas is quite worn out currently but it is the only drawback of the tyres I think. Great handling on dry, almost perfect and it is not worse on wet. Very good grip in general. No drift or squeak during cornering, generally no surprises. I feel confident and safe even during rain because I have not experienced aquaplaning even when I drove with a high speed during medium rainfall. I recommend to all drivers who appreciate safety. Hankook Kinergy eco K425 are the best wearing tyres I have ever experienced. They were fitted to my 2002 Golf IV when I bought them new. Previously I used Dunlop, Michelin and Uniroyal RainSport2. In comparison to those three brands, Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres are definitely the best in many aspects. I was a little concerned about wear as I am not an easy driver but I am positively surprised now as the tyres are extremely durable even with my quite aggressive driving. I had no problems with them during the whole season. Good rolling resistance :) Driving comfort phenomenal! They handle well in the dry but they are also excellent in the slippy, greasy roads. They are generally quiet. I will definitely buy another set in the future. I highly recommend those tyres to everyone! Read more Collapse

I have read many of you - colleagues from the Internet - opinions about various 205/55R16 tyres. Generally, most are not worth reading, but to be honest - Hankooki do their work :) In the case of Skoda Octavia, where it usually drive at the age of 20, instead of squealing at all the lights, only normally - along with more dynamic readers (I do not have a Ferrari but Skoda also without exaggeration) I recommend 100%. Quiet, good tyres at a good price. I do not think they are worse than Pirelli or other premium brands. I have these tyres as a friend. Before, I had Continental and it was hard, although it is generally a good tyre, but it does not stick the same. These are the first new tyres I bought. Punto looks good in them, although with this tread each car will look very good. They have been tested in harsh Croatian conditions: heat above +35 degrees, many uphill and downhill trips on Sv. Jure (1762 mnpm), stony roads and a lot of sand, luggage and water packs, salty seaside climate, campsites and 3/4 routes through Slovakia and Hungary both one way and the other in the rain. They hold well, aquaplaning is great and braking is also in order. Although this car is not a speed demon, there are no more reasons to worry about these tyres' performance. Now I changed my car to Citroen Berlingo 2.0 HDI. I have opted for Nokian iLine with the similar tread. I will choose either next time depending on price atm. Read more Collapse

These tyres gathered a sufficient number to think about and analyze the tests that I could find on the Internet. I considered different types of top-shelf tyres. My annual course is very low, because it is generally less than 30,000 miles. If any of you have a similar one-year course, it really is not worth investing in the highest quality tyres, because it will not be profitable with such a distance. The Hankook Kinergy Eco K425's rolling resistance, noise and abrasion is at a high level. I was not disappointed. Very good tyres at a very good price. I searched a lot of websites, and Oponeo is one of the cheapest offers and certainly the biggest experience decided on the purchase on this site. Successful selection and safe driving. These tyres are just lost time and money. Before I bought the tyres of this brand, I have been browsing forums and reviews of other users for a long time. Everyone praised them very much. I will add that the first tyres I used in Grande Punto were Bridgestones and served for 70,000 km. They had good handling on wet and dry surfaces. The tyres were very predictable, generally ok. I decided to buy Hankook tyres and I used them for a total of 3 months, but the tyres are very disappointing, very soft and the car becomes unstable when braking suddenly. On a wet surface the tyre slide like on the ice. Currently, the tyres are lying in the garage and i'm waiting for new ones. If you value your safety, I advise you to buy something else. I use the tyres 5 season. By car I am doing just over 8,000 km per year, but sometimes I go to other countries. For example, last year Italy (180 kmh highway - small noise). The tyre in the city performs excellently: instantly responds to the brake pedal on dry and wet (occasionally abs). I have quite high power in relation to the weight of the car (150hp-1400kg) and there are rarely any problems with traction. Wide drainage grooves are useful when heavy rains. After 40000 km, the 4.5mm tread has gone down, which I think is a very good result. The only thing that is considered a minus is the moronic flowers on the tyre (which for me is strange but maybe some women will like it). 5.5 / 6! Read more Collapse

I compare the properties of this tyre with the Firestone F 590 tyre, in the same size and with the same speed rating. The properties of this tyre far surpass the Firestone tyre. It is more flexible, definitely quieter and well absorbs unevenness if it is of course properly inflated (according to the car manufacturer's requirements). The car is good, it goes as stuck to the road, as I assess the elastic effect of the tyre. As for the vitality, I can't judge, too small milage. Perhaps the only advantage of the Firestones may be their durability, I traveled over 45 thousand miles on them. It seems that for the fact that they were very hard tyres, they were quite noisy at the same time. Read more Collapse

I covered about 20,000 on these tyres. km in one year. The tyres hold well on dry and wet roads. With Ford Focus combi 109 hp with a 1.6 TDCi engine, the average fuel consumption is around 6l / 100km. On longer routes it is around 4.8-5.5 / 100km, but the city quickly increases this rate. Driving economically to max 100km / h it is possible to maintain a temporary combustion at the level of about 3.8l / 100km, which means that the tyres actually have low rolling resistance. One of the tyres was leaking air, but due to the fact that I bought reinforced tyres even at a pressure of about 1 bar there was a feeling that something was wrong with the car. I recommend these tyres to users. Read more Collapse

Excellent properties on the road. I replaced several years of tyres, good brands for these after reading many reviews and a whole lot of tests. Very good choice. The tyres stick to the road perfectly, give the impression of being sticked to the road - no skids or getting out of the curve - unless someone drives at an excessive speed. Quiet. I was driving around the city to a large extent, with several longer trips. In conclusion - predictable tyres, they behave as they should. And the Oponeo shop - full professionalism. Now, for autumn, I bought tyres again - this time winter tyres. At the next exchange I will probably order here again - I recommend both the shop and the tyres. Read more Collapse

I use the tyres a few months by Skoda Fabia. They are noticeably quieter than previously used (originally assembled by the factory) Firestone F-509. The combustion is also slightly lower (according to the on-board computer, by 0.2-0.3 L / 100km). tyres used almost exclusively in the city. Production: Hungary. Rubber is very soft. The purchased size: 185/60 R14. Appearance: they look rather well. Overall, I'm happy and for this car I would choose the same tyres again. I was considering the more expensive Dunlop SP Sport Bluresponse, but I chose the slightly cheaper Hankooks. I do not judge the wear rate, because they have traveled too little distance to make it meaningful. Read more Collapse

I bought Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres a week ago and I've already done about half a thousand miles. Before I bought these tyres, I read tests of different brands and finally chose the Hankook Kinergy eco K425 and I have to say that I am very happy. They are very soft and comfortable. At the same time, they guarantee excellent grip. I can add that they are a bit quieter than the tyres of the German brand. In previous years, I tested the French brand, but the tyres were loud and not very comfortable and did not behave well in the rain. After two years, I changed them. The current Hankook Kinergy eco K425 tyres meet my expectations. My car: VW Golf Variant from 2008. Read more Collapse

Good tyres at a reasonable price, but certainly not ECO, because I did not notice any differences between these tyres and previous summer tyres and only slight differences between winter and summer (0.2 liters). None of my previous tyres was ECO by name. This does not mean, however, that the tyres are bad, quite the opposite. They perform surprisingly well on wet, especially when braking and accelerating. They are quiet and yet trouble-free. On dry braking they also perform well, but in the corners unfortunately slightly worse than the previous ones, but there's tragedy. I do not assess their durability because I have only had them for like 4 months now. Read more Collapse

I was convinced by the very positive test results and good experience after using the same tyre model in a company car so i purchased this tyre. After buying and fitting it i took the first ride, after which I was very pleased. The tyre holds very well when changing driving directions, well dampens unevenness on the road and is relatively quiet. I will not give up the issue of wear because I have traveled on them for a small distance and I count on the fact that a good, adhesive tyre also has to wear out. For this the tyre has a very favorable price-quality ratio. For good money, we get a great tyre. Read more Collapse

I was not convinced by the Korean manufacturer, but after reading the reviews on the internet and after the recommendation of an Oponeo employee, I decided to buy them, and I am really happy with them. The noise compared to the previously chosen (purchased) tyres is incomparably lower, I just can hardly hear them. Driving comfort has therefore improved significantly. The grip is good, I do not notice the tread wear, and the cushioning (damping of irregularities) is also high. Added to this is the price that is sensational compared to other brands. I recommend to everyone with a clear conscience. Read more Collapse

I was looking for tyres that will have decent parameters at an acceptable price. These were one of the cheapest brands. I was skeptical about them because I used to use theoretically higher-end tyres (the last one is Nokian X-line). I am very pleasantly surprised. The tyres are quiet and comfortable, and at the same time they travel very well and predictably. Good grip and on dry and wet. They clearly indicate when the grip limit approaches. I did not experience aquaplaning on wet, and I came across a few decent downpours that have not been difficult lately. I definitely recommend it Read more Collapse

I will not jbe wise but I am a great automotive expert, that's why I write what I see and what I paid for. I bought the tyres for the Nissan Micra K12. The car in 90% drives around the city, occasionally outside the city. The tyres are silent, the car is free to roll, no disturbing sounds are heard while driving on different types of surfaces (asphalt, cube, concrete). I bought the above tyre at the advice of a vulcanizer, who told me to buy Hankok as for reasonable money, I would not mind bothering with tyres (except for winter change) and he was 100% right. Highly recommend. Read more Collapse

I bought a new car in which these tyres broke my joy with the new car. Hard, loud and bouncing. I made a complain on them almost immediately, but I heard that they are tyres oriented to durability and traction and that they agree with me that, for this reason, they are loud. I gave up and I got a change for winter tyres. I bought Gislawed and so far, the car is better driven on a dry surface, it does not bounce, it does not make noise (and this is after all winter tyre!). For the summer I give them in the settlement for other tyres to my vulcanizer. By, by Hankook. Read more Collapse

I was looking for cheap and good tyres for a typical estate. The engine is small 1.2 and 80 HP, but I also did not want to buy just any tyres. In the end, I decided to go ahead with Hankook and I do not regret it. Very good tyre. They have good grip, it's really hard for them to make a squeal in a sharp corner. Good traction, both on dry and wet asphalt. The difference in burning compared to previous Pirelli P3000 is nothing, but they are much quieter. I recommend to anyone who is looking for cheap and good tyres, I really feel that this is a good quality tyre. Read more Collapse

I recommend to anyone who is looking for tyres in their price range, great control of the car in the wet, braking during the rain very surprised me positively. The dry surface, of course, also does not give the Hankook eco K425 tyres any problems, it is relatively quiet, above about 75 mph, noise begins but rather does not hinder driving. To sum up, I am very happy with the purchase and recommend this tyre model to anyone who wants to feel safer by driving their car on rainy and sunny days - I personally feel safer since I use the Hankook tyres. When buying, I suggested a price-quality ratio and rolling resistance. Very quiet tyres, at least in the context of Sava Perfecta / Fulda EcoControl and Bfgoodrich G-grip. The abrasion is practically nil, even if you drive a lot. Good lateral support, predictable wet behavior. Tyres disperse water very well. They deal with snow, that's the true. Axle 15-20 cm and more compact, but it was not a problem. Low rolling resistance, the car seems to be lighter than with my previous BFGoodrich. The tyre, despite everything, is rather hard and can feel unevenness. Read more Collapse

I have these tyres for full summer season, so about 4 months. Wet driving - no problems with the car. Understeering or oversteering within reasonable limits, practically does not occur. The noise is imperceptible and does not tyre. Fuel consumption - honestly, I have no idea whether it has decreased or not, but this is a secondary thing for me when it comes to the tyres. To sum up the product; i'd recommend it, the quality for the price is great. I think that they will last for full three summer seasons. Regards. Read more Collapse

Tyres bought this season, priced great and certainly better than many other producers. They do great on the water, the noise is not big either. It is okay on the dry, although it can squeak. I find it difficult to assess durability, but I can already see some wear. The worst minus is a really big increase in combustion, probably due to the type of tread set for water. If it rains a lot in a places where you live, the value for money is great. I will probably try Dunlop blue response next. Read more Collapse
