Kumho I`ZEN XW KW17

3PMSF The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.

Kumho I`ZEN XW KW17 is a winter tyre of the medium class with the asymmetric tread pattern. The tyre features modern, computer optimised tread pattern that guarantees high performance in all winter conditions: on the wet, snowy and even icy road. Sturdy shoulders ensure low noise level while driving, whereas the special grooves system protects from hydrodynamic skid.

Kumho I`ZEN XW KW17 includes modern, asymmetric tread that has been divided into zones; each of them performs different functions. The outer zone has wide, arrow-like grooves that ensure efficient water and slush removal to the outside. Additionally, Kumho I`ZEN XW KW17 tyre ensures silent and comfortable drive owing to the slightly rounded outer shoulder’s edges which reduce vibes and hums level. Single rib whose aim is precise transfer of the steering wheel movements onto the road has been placed in the tyre’s central part. The tyre offers good handling even during driving with high speed. Two straight, longitudinal canals that respond for efficient tread drainage have been used in order to enhance performance on the wet. Protection from aqua- and snowplaning has been obtained due to the quick disposal of water and slush from the tyre’s contact surface. Rubber compound enriched with the silica which ensures proper flexibility and durability has been used. Proper traction on the snowy surface is the result of the inner side of the tread equipped with solid blocks on the shoulders, zigzag, circumferential canal and arrow like grooves. Sharply ended blocks edges easily bite into surface. The tyre does not skid and ensures dynamic moving out and accelerating.

Kumho I`ZEN XW KW17 tyre has been developed for passenger cars of the middle and higher class. It is recommendable for the compact cars, sedans and estate cars with middle or higher engine capacities. It belongs to the medium class which ensures excellent ratio of the performance to the price.

    Opinion from outside IE

Overall, not a bad tire - I would even say that in tests such as wet braking and dry much better than years of Fulda Carat ASSURO. The fact that they were older, but bigger 195/50R15 (175/65R14 Kumho winter tires) and much better for me to have inhibited (abs went, but the effect is marginal). Smooth movement on the right of the snow - because such Cormorants Snowpro a friend did not take the advice Panda Hill and Korean tire easily accessible to me and my Honda. I highly rate of depreciation of these inequalities tires. The major drawback is the inhibition of slush, but in the winter goes quickly and carelessly? Relatively high attrition. The tire is definitely better than all the Ling-Long'i, cormorants. Read more Collapse

Looks pretty good, but towards the plains and in the city. In the mountains, steep alleys, covered in snow does not give advice, do not shoot. Is also very good. Quiet and comfortable. Good braking and handling. Because trips to the mountains to take the rear axle before I Vredestein Snowtrac2. Read more Collapse
