Toyo Proxes C1S

This was my first purchase of Toyo tyres. I chose this model because of the unbeatable price/quality ratio. The tyres surprised me very positively, after changing from Bridgestone Potenza, these tyres are definitely quieter, which can be heard from the first drive, passengers also share this opinion. They stick to the road very well, you can feel the confidence in the handling and behavior of the car on the road. The tyres also absorb bumps well, which was noticeable on long journeys. The tyre minimises the phenomenon of aquaplaning, not allowing the vehicle to lose grip when in contact with water, in conjunction with the Stability Programme, you can feel really safe in rainy weather. A very successful purchase. I changed the wheels on my car from 205/60 R16 to 215/45 R18 and did not feel any reduction in driving comfort. Only the sharp edges of any gaps in the road surface are more noticeable, but driving on cobblestones or gravel is in no way more disruptive than with a higher profile tyre. The car is more stable, confident in handling and faster through bends. The tyres grip the tarmac well and rarely squeal when starting off or in tighter bends. In city traffic the tyres are virtually silent. At higher speeds the noise level increases slightly. The tyres perform excellently on both dry and wet surfaces. After driving the right side of the car into a puddle at quite high speed, the car only swayed slightly. The tyres are highly recommended. Read more Collapse

After only 15000 km I consider the TOYO Proxes C1S to be a very good tyre. It performs very well on dry roads, softly and flexibly absorbing road irregularities, and is very quiet at speeds of 140-180. It also performs well in the wet, but I have not had the opportunity to test it under extreme conditions. With hard driving and braking from high speeds down to almost zero, you can see traces on the tyre (as if it was melting), which shows the incredible properties as if it was sticking to the asphalt. When driving in tight corners, there is no chance to feel any lateral slip. I recommend this tyre to anyone looking for a good tyre for a good car. This is the first time I have bought tyres from a Japanese company, as I have been using European tyres so far (Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, Fulda) and I am pleasantly surprised. The tyres are quiet, have excellent grip on dry and wet pavement. The tyre disperses water well when driving through puddles and there is no aquaplaning. After 10,000km I haven't noticed any wear, which may indicate a low rolling resistance. But for my description not to be too colourful, I must also mention the disadvantages. I have never had so many weights glued on my tyres after balancing. 1 piece - 120g, 1 piece - 80g and 2 pieces 70g in total 340g!!! I do not know why but maybe the tyres were stored incorrectly. I switched to the C1S from a TOYO T1R. Overall, I was very disappointed... The sidewall is very soft, the whole car wobbles when you change lanes or move the steering wheel quickly. It's like the rear end can't keep up with the front end. For dynamic driving, they are not suitable at all, you are afraid of skidding. For city driving ok, pretty good damping of unevenness + quiet. I have major reservations about the quality of the units I purchased. Two out of four tyres cannot be balanced. I would like to point out that they were mounted on brand new alloy wheels, also purchased from the same supplier as the tyres. Until now I have used Dunlop SP5000 tyres on this car, which were sensational (multi-season, covered 90,000 km). I evaluated the Toyo in confrontation with the previous ones and, unfortunately, the ratings are a bit lower. I bought these tyres because they were on a great offer on oponeo.pl - it was a great choice. They are quiet (the manufacturer's website says 68dB which is one of the best results in this size), they grip the road well and look good. I recommend! I recommend these rubbers. They work great. They are very quiet and do not wear out too much. On various surfaces they grip the car as if sticking it to the ground.
