Tyre details:
The Fulda Kristall Control HP2 is a winter tyre designed for high-power vehicles. It is the successor to the Fulda Kristall Control HP, one of the most popular mid-range winter models. The tyre features a directional tread and a design that incorporates three innovative technologies.
The first of these is the "Snow Catcher". The tyre designers came to the conclusion that nothing sticks to snow better than snow itself. This meant turning the central part of the tyre into a network of grooves that bite into the road surface. The resulting increase in vehicle stability is experienced by the driver as greater control during manoeuvring.
The second technology is called "Bubble Blades". This involves the use of three-dimensional blades on the tread (small sipes on its surface), creating cutting edges on the tyre with an extra rounded projection in their central part. This means that the blades support each other during braking and cornering, which improves the vehicle's grip on slippery surfaces.
The third technology is a silica rubber compound that increases grip at low winter temperatures. Combined with the features incorporated into the tread, this allows drivers to travel safely in challenging and varied conditions.
The Fulda Kristall Control HP2 tyre also offers outstanding resistance to wear as well as excellent grip. The flat and extended area of contact between the tyre and the road allows for improved distribution of forces, which lengthens the tyre's lifetime.
Fulda is a German-owned tyre brand belonging to the Goodyear Group. The Fulda "Smart Move" concept is based on designing tyres that combine control over the vehicle in any conditions, German technological solutions and value for money. They are some of the best mid-range tyres available on the market.
