Opinion after one season of use and during 6000 (+ ekspresówka city). 8.6mm left on the tread of the tire, which means that the consumption of 0.066 mm to 1000 km, which translates into a stability 75 000 km (up to 4mm). The tire is quiet, appearance, do not judge. Relatively easy it is to break the hold by adding gas to spin (dry asphalt, a comparison with the summer Michelin EnergySaver). The biggest drawback of the tire for me is his gummy / tend to swim. This phenomenon is due to the speed of about 100 km / h. It feels like a delay in the movement of the steering wheel on the reaction of the car. More also felt a gust of wiartu (compared to the summer Michelin EnergySaver). Perhaps this is due to the wide tread and a soft rubber compound, but effectively reduces the driving comfort. Goodyear UltraGrip 9 is equipped with a directional tread pattern, is classified as a premium tyre and was designed for passenger cars. One of Its most valuable assets include a short braking distance. It has been proven, in tests carried out by different organisations, that the tyre’s braking distance on snow is shorter by 4% when compared to its 3 biggest competitors.

Also, in comparison to the previous model, the tyre offers better performance in many fields. Goodyear UltraGrip 9 performs excellently in changing winter conditions. No matter what, it deals with snow, slush, rain or dry surfaces.

This type of performance is determined by elements of the tread such as a large number of edges, sipes or tread blocks with variable geometry. Goodyear UltraGrip 9 is made of a rubber compound enriched by specific resins and vegetable oils.

As a result, the tyre quickly drains water and slush, which translates into a stable drive on slippery roads. The modern design of the blocks on the sides of the tread improves stability on bends and shortens braking distance. Its deep sipes improve movement and acceleration on snow.

By purchasing Goodyear UltraGrip 9, you may also expect a decrease in fuel consumption and it also comes with a tread wear indicator.
