225/60 R15 tyres are installed in passenger cars with powerful engines. The size of the tyre can be easily seen on its sidewall where it is clearly provided in a form of a string of signs. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre. The number is provided in millimetres. In the case of the 225/60 R15 tyre it is 225 mm. The second number equals the percentage ratio of the tyre's profile height to its tread width, e.g. here 60% out of 225 mm.
