205/60 R14 tyres are produced with family cars in mind. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is provided in a form of a string of signs. The first number expresses in millimetres the tyre's tread width (in this case it equals 205 mm). The second number equals the percentage ratio between the tyre's height and its tread width. In the case of the 205/60 R14 tyre it is 60% out of 205 mm. The third number provides in inches the diameter of the wheel rim on which the tyre should be installed.
