    Opinion from outside IE

I bought these Marangonis for their low price and I did not expect wonders from them, but I'm really impressed with the quality of winter driving. I drove my Volvo S60 6000 km across Europe last winter and this is how I describe: On dry road was quieter than Pirelli and Goodyear winter tires, good handling and braking and cornering safely. On the cold rain rain and melting snow, they were just as good as my previous winter Continentals and Pirelli Sottozero. On the snow, they do ok, they did not let me down while driving through the Carpathians in December in heavy snow had decent traction, but that's part of the optional traction control car that keep the wheel spinning. As with all other tire brands, you could not wait to have the properties of a snow tire that is designed specifically for driving on snow. Overall, I think it is a good and safe tire, it is well worth the money you pay for, but it is lower than other leading brands like Dunlop and Continental both in construction and driving quality hence the huge price difference and it should remain at this low price. BTW, I am now to buy another set for this entry ;-) winter. Read more Collapse

I bought these tires winter two years ago, thanks to good prices and, perhaps, the desire to take an Italian product. Sorry, but regretted: for the first winter everything went well, but diaciamoci truth, all winter tires are fine start! But when I put together for the second winter (they had more than 10,000 km), the problems began: I noticed a sharp deterioration in adhesion and sealing to the previous year, particularly relevant on asphalt already only a little wet . In dry things go a little better, but not by much, and not one that is conducted stupid ... Add in the fact that my car is a Juliet, which in itself was a good basis for sealing street, and draw your conclusions. I was deeply disappointed by the tires: I might as well buy Chinese tires, I would have paid even less and would not have gone worse. Surely will buy more Marangoni tires: the fact that it is an Italian product is not enough to account for the fact that it is the poor quality tires, certainly the worst I've ever had (and I've changed a lot of brands ...) for the price you pay probably will not do better than the Marangoni Meteo HP. I used to last winter as this winter and they behave very well on snow and slush wet roads. I crossed the Carpathians last December on a road covered with snow on high altitude and to be honest, the car did not skid or got stuck and could not move, but rolled on well. The grip is very good on the slush, good on snow, but not great on wet roads. I did not match my previous Dunlops therefore half the price of a premium winter tire. In conclusion, I would say that by choosing these Marangoni is a wise compromise, but again do not expect optimal performance, but may count as a safe tire during the winter. I'll buy another set for this winter that the budget of the family can not afford something more luxurious :-) Read more Collapse

I had these tires in compensation. Initially, I shot a small nose "pasta", but now I can safely recommend. Drive tires on the front axle of the BMW 530d. As for accession: rear axle in the same time meeting the rise Bridgestone Blizzak LM30 new and many times the car is running or wanted to shoot in the wet or snow, or Marangoni have better traction. For dry and wet braking is better than continentalach that I already had. The disadvantage is the noticeable noise, solid construction and odd sizes. The tire is substantially narrower than my other tires of this size. About the sustainability of this tower already on the third winter I suppose that on the front axle, beaten about 20 thousand miles and have not lost more than 2 mm of tread. Read more Collapse

These are not the last Continental tires, but looking at the price, I can only recommend. Uses size 205/50R17 on BMW e46. At the beginning of fear, because in dry feel to find a corner, not conditions, but I wanted to stay in the area as a summer sport tire and brakes on the wet tarmac and the tires slipping. Currently I am in Hawaii, snow and ice, and tires excel great, no problems with moving off or braking. Great expectation in the turns, the only problem in reverse, it's a slide. Big tires for real winter conditions, this very quiet. Read more Collapse
