Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012

Tyre details: The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 is designed for 4x4 vehicles. The unique aggressive tread pattern guarantees superb performance both in off-road settings and during everyday trips. The compound used to manufacture the tyre is notable for its outstanding resistance to wear and high temperatures, meaning that the tyre delivers maximum performance during dynamic high-speed driving and retains the necessary rigidity and anti-slip characteristics.

An internal steel belt, improved bead design and reinforced sidewall offer guaranteed resistance to mechanical damage. The strong blocks in the tread centre ensure outstanding steerability and superb grip, regardless of the weather or road conditions. They are arranged diagonally to ensure that driving stability is maintained even when driving on difficult, uneven surfaces. The dense network of grooves on the tread rapidly disperse water from under the tyre, increasing driving safety and reducing the risk of slipping and aquaplaning. The grooves also ensure that the tyre can use its self-cleaning capabilities to remove slush and stones. The designers of the tyre were keen to ensure slow and even wear, meaning that the full range of performance values can be achieved throughout its lifetime without any concerns about loss of specifications or grip. The reinforced shoulder pattern which overlaps onto the sidewall of the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 help to improve performance on paved roads and when driving around the city.

The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd. is a Japanese-owned company which was founded in 1917. It is the seventh largest tyre manufacturer in the world. It is the second largest tyre supplier of tyres in the Land of Cherry Blossoms. The tyres which leave the company's production lines are intended not only for passenger cars, but also for vans, lorries, 4x4 vehicles and racing vehicles. The brand specialises in designing and improving UHP tyres.

Great tyre! The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 is much better in winter weather conditions when compared to BF Goodrich A/T. I have been using tyres from different manufacturers over the years. However, for the first time my car is really stable as the tyres provide good grip. I must admit that in snow they do better than my winter Cooper Discoverer M+S tyres which are very good. The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres reached my expectations. I should actually say they are above my expectations. During my last trip I had to drive in difficult conditions mostly on a muddy surface and then I crossed a river. The tyres have never let me down. I read that some special four straight grooves evacuate water for better performance in wet conditions. I feel safe having the Yokohama GEOLANDAR AT-S G012 tyres mounted on my vehicle as I know that I can use them in the most tortuous terrain. I would like to recommend these tyres to everyone who looks for safety on the road and takes as a main criteria price to quality ratio. The tyres are astonishing and reliable. That is why they are worth their price. Read more Collapse

The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 is my first A/T tyre so I cannot compare them to products of different manufacturers. The tyres are quieter than I expected. What is more, they are definitely softer than my winter tyres. Tyres’ softness provides comfort, especially if you drive on roads with a large quantity of holes. However, deflating on serious offroad terrain is recommended. The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 was specifically developed for jeep, pickup truck and SUV drivers. I wanted to combine a bold off-road attitude with a capable on-road aptitude so I purchased a set of these tyres. What surprised me is the fact that these tyres are easy to clean. They behave well both in dry and wet weather conditions. I have not noticed a serious fuel consumption growth in my Volkswagen Tucson 2.0 140BHP). I cannot tell a lot about their durability as it is too early but I heard that they were designed to provide long mileage. I would like to recommend the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres to everybody. Read more Collapse

The tyres are comparable to different A/T tyres in a similar price range. The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 are really long lasting. They have never let me down in terms of durability. Furthermore, they provide good traction and braking under dry and wet weather conditions. Another thing is that their noise level is low (it is difficult to hear them inside a car). However, I think that the most important advantage of the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres is their durability. I was very curious how would they do in snow so I tested them and it seems that in warm and wet winter they do noticeably better than winter tyres (better grip). Probably they are not so good in deep snow but I did not have an opportunity to check that yet. I do recommend the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 in all conscience. Read more Collapse

It is a perfect tyre for driving on windling mountain roads. The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres are remarkably solid. They provide good traction on various types of surfrace. It is a superior tyre designed especially for more demanding drivers. It is an all-terrain and off-road all-season tyre dedicated to SUV and 4x4 vehicles. I bought a set of the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres for my car and I found them to be excellent both on and off road. They are pretty quiet taking into consideration the fact that their tread pattern is deep. I had no worries whatsoever in mud, wet, uphill climbs, etc. They are great tyres for off-road (I am not talking about extreme off-roading). I do recommend the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres because of their reliability and quality. Read more Collapse

I have done approximately 50.000 miles on the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres. I had an opportunity to drive in different weather conditions. The tyres are characterised by powerful sidewall protectors which provide not only protection but also additional grip. The noise is barely noticeable. The Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012s are not winter tyres but they are doing well in snow. They are very hard wearing long lasting tyres. I chose these because of their all round ability. Furthermore, they look really good when mounted on a car. They are stable, comfortable on road and not too noisy off road. I highly recommend the Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T-S G012 tyres as they constitute top quality product. Read more Collapse

Perfect for people who want to combine city driving and off-road tires. Well, they work on dry and wet asphalt. I give them very well in the field. Of course, in the region of calm MT. However, this was not the case that drew me to the mud, and even with powdery snow. Even the mud did not stop me, of course, until it is not suspended. Worst thing is on a slippery surface, ie, packed snow and ice, of course. In a word, I would recommend as a universal tire for summer and winter. However, it should be noted that typical of the winter tires behave better winter. However, I'm not complaining and I would buy these tires again. Read more Collapse

6 months tyres teamwork with Nissan Patrol, both light and asphalt, as well as four months kopnym deep snow. On the asphalt, a revelation in terms of volume, abrasion and adhesion. The mud is obviously not MT, but they are very brave. I live in the mountains and snow with us lack. In kopnym are very good. The compacted ice and already the worst, but in this case without the strings as usual. By comparing them with a set of BFG BFG MT tires and who. MT were better in the mud, and tragic on the asphalt. I drove on these tires over 15,000 miles and the A / T is silent will not mind when driving on asphalt. After 15,000 km, I noticed obvious signs of wear (plates slightly rounded edges). Good job tires when driving on gravel trails and rocks, sharp stones, even without causing damage. For the purchase of tires brought me advice on their behavior in winter ... I rode well and. On the ice, compacted snow or winter tires only behave like a straw bag (comparing to skate, it would be an exaggeration - Skates behave given direction). Tire highly recommended, but only if you can afford a second set of winter tires. Read more Collapse

Tire at first sight, it can make a strong impression of tires and awkward. However, in my opinion, after driving 18,000 kilometers aggressive, I think it's quiet and comfortable. Add to this the low fuel consumption and tire. Glue to dry asphalt, and rain is slightly worse. Shred the summer and winter. At first you have to get used to their reaction in the snow, but then everything ok On the ground, it's a fairy tale :. D. A weak point of the tire and probably other ice. Overall, great as a universal tire for summer and winter for people riding alternately city and region. I recommend. Read more Collapse

Great choice between the tire and the ground road. The compromise is no compromise on something. We know that this is not a marker of BFG, but the mud on the road in the mountains beats without pain. On the road, it is stronger, but the sound is very "noble" and in conjunction with the work of the diesel vehicle adds charm. On the asphalt holds. Even worse in the wet, but the resistance to aquaplaning. Remember, with a pickup of 2 tons and should always think before gas hits! The tire does not like the snow and ice. In the snow I have another, and use ice skates :) Read more Collapse

215/70R16 I started four months ago. I drove smoothly (5% meadows and mountain dirt road, fields and forests, the remains of spring snow and mud pośniegowego, 20% city, 75% of the road, often at night with relatively little regulatory traffic speeds) nearly 5,000 km. The first hypothesis was impressed by the volume and hardness on the tarmac, very quickly just wonder, wonder, wonder ... The total average gasoline consumption Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 for the period amounted to 8.4 l / 100 km and drive night minimum at maximum speeds of up to 80-90 kph arrived at 6.83 l/100km. Robust and resistant to damage. We are talking about a normal field use, does not melt in extreme mud or climbing on the rocks. Hiking expedition. Travelling to Croatia and Italy has not missed how you seal on the highway, and you stray from the asphalt felt really great having control of the car. Read more Collapse
