Citroen C2

The Citroën C2 is a B-segment city car produced by the French PSA Group, introduced in 2003 as a successor to the popular Citroën Saxo. Offered exclusively as a three-door hatchback, the C2 was designed to appeal to young, urban drivers seeking a compact and dynamic vehicle. It was one of the first Citroën models to feature a new design language developed by Italian designer Donato Cocco.

Sharing its platform and many components with the slightly larger Citroën C3, the C2 includes similar dashboard layouts, interior features, and a range of powertrains. Sportier variants such as the VTS and VTR versions offered enhanced performance, reinforcing the model’s youthful and energetic character. The C2’s sharp, clean lines and compact dimensions made it stand out among Citroën’s city car offerings.

While the interior is not particularly spacious, the C2 provides seating for four and a boot capacity of up to 244 litres, making it suitable for daily commutes, shopping, and short trips. In 2005, the model received a minor facelift, featuring redesigned bumpers, chrome accents, and a refreshed front grille.

In addition to the standard version, Citroën developed a rally variant known as the C2 Super 1600. This model paid homage to the sporty Saxo VTS, which, under the command of Sébastien Loeb, achieved notable success in the Rallye de France - Tour de Corse and the World Rally Championship.

Despite receiving positive reviews from automotive experts and winning the 2003 European Hatchback of the Year award, the Citroën C2 struggled to gain widespread popularity. Production ended in 2009, with the Citroën DS3 taking its place in the lineup.

Factory tyre sizes for the Citroën C2 include 175/65 R14 and 195/45 R16. Optionally, 185/55 R15 tyres can also be fitted.
