The Renault Mégane is a C-segment passenger car produced by the French automaker Renault. It succeeded the popular Renault 19 and made its debut in 1995. Initially launched as a hatchback, the Mégane lineup quickly expanded to include a saloon, estate, minivan, coupé, and convertible. Each body style was available with a wide selection of petrol and diesel engines, catering to various customer needs. Due to its popularity, Renault introduced the second generation—Renault Mégane II—less than seven years later, officially unveiling it at the Geneva Motor Show.
Tyres for the Mégane II are available across all price segments: economy, mid-range, and premium. Renault continued its tradition of incorporating distinctive design elements, equipping the Mégane II with a uniquely styled tailgate. A coupé-cabriolet version with a retractable hardtop was also introduced. One of the notable engine additions was the 1.5-litre diesel with Common Rail direct injection technology.
The third generation of the Renault Mégane premiered at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. Like its predecessor, it was offered in multiple body styles. The range of tyre sizes for this generation was significantly broadened. Initially, only the hatchback and estate versions were available, but in 2009, Renault expanded the lineup with the Renault Fluence saloon and the high-performance Mégane RS. The RS variant was offered in several limited editions, including the Trophy version, which featured a powerful 265 hp engine.
In early 2010, the Mégane received a facelift that included redesigned bumpers, LED lighting, and a selection of more fuel-efficient engines. Renault also introduced new body colours, alloy wheel designs, and upgraded interior materials to enhance the vehicle’s appeal.
