Renault Trafic

The Renault Trafic is a light commercial van produced by the French automotive manufacturer Renault. The first generation of the model debuted in 1980, replacing the aging Renault Estafette. Around the same time, Renault also introduced the slightly larger Master, with both vehicles sharing similar design elements. The smaller Trafic was initially built by the independent company Chausson and was offered in multiple configurations to suit various commercial and passenger transport needs. One of the most popular versions was the minibus variant, which lacked a separate cargo compartment and could accommodate between six and nine passengers. In 1997, through a dealership agreement with General Motors, the model was also marketed as the Opel Arena. Over its 20-year production run, the first-generation Trafic received minor updates, primarily cosmetic, and more than 930,000 units were sold. In 2001, Renault launched the second generation of the Trafic. Its sister models included the Opel Vivaro and Nissan Primastar. These vans were awarded the prestigious "Van of the Year 2002" title, praised for their modern styling and highly functional interiors. The Renault Trafic II continued the tradition of versatility, offering various configurations such as sliding or hinged doors, separate cargo compartments, and passenger versions. A facelift in 2006 brought updated engines compliant with the Euro 4 emissions standard, along with a refreshed exterior design that gave the Trafic a more contemporary appearance.

The original tyre sizes for the Renault Trafic are 175/80 R14 for the first generation (Trafic I) and 195/65 R16 for the second generation (Trafic II). Optional tyre sizes include 185/80 R14, 185/75 R14, 205/65 R16, and 215/65 R16.
