Toyota Camry

The Toyota Camry is a mid-size sedan manufactured by the Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corporation. First introduced in 1983 as the successor to the rear-wheel-drive Toyota Corona, the Camry was developed primarily for the American market, where it has consistently led its segment in popularity and sales. Globally, the Camry is also available in slightly modified versions for Asian markets and as a hybrid in Japan. Renowned for its exceptional build quality, smooth ride, and legendary reliability, the Camry has earned a loyal customer base over the decades. The current model is the seventh generation, which received a significant facelift in 2012. Its exterior styling draws inspiration from newer Lexus models, with subtle design cues also reminiscent of the Toyota Auris. While the exterior updates are modest, the interior has seen notable improvements. The redesigned cabin features upgraded materials and enhanced ergonomics, with new front seats that offer greater comfort and increased legroom for rear passengers. Standard features on the Camry include air conditioning, power-adjustable mirrors, and cruise control. The base engine is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit producing 178 horsepower, delivering a balanced mix of performance and efficiency. Despite its many strengths, the Camry faces stiff competition from rivals such as the Honda Accord and Mazda6, both of which offer superior driving dynamics and interior refinement. The larger Volkswagen Passat, tailored for the U.S. market, is also a formidable competitor.

The factory-recommended tyre sizes for the Toyota Camry are: 195/70 R14, 205/65 R15, and 215/60 R16. Optionally, 225/45 R17 tyres can also be fitted for enhanced performance and styling.
