Kleber Quadraxer 2 are mid-range all-season tyres designed for passenger cars. The model appeared on the market as the successor of Kleber Quadraxer, which premiered in 2011. The new generation of this model has improved performance and is adapted to the growing needs of drivers and their cars.
The presented model, like the first generation, is equipped with a directional tread pattern. This solution is optimal for the most demanding atmospheric conditions. In effect, Kleber Quadraxer 2 tyres effectively expel water and slush and ensure good traction on snow.
The model was equipped with modern “Tobogagn” drainage channels. They are very effective at evacuating water and greatly reduce the risk of aquaplaning. This tyre was tested in the Michelin Research and Development site in Ladoux. The esults have shown that the Quadraxer 2 model provides greater resistance to aquaplaning than the previous-generation model – by 8% on straight roads and by 4% during turns(the test was conducted using a 205/55 R16 91H size tyre).
Kleber Quadraxer 2 looks very good in terms of certification labels. It was assigned class B for braking on wet surfaces. The previous generation was in class C – in the new model, this translates to a 5% (1.6m) shorter braking distance on wet terrain.
The presented model also offers very good performance in winter conditions. It has the 3PMSF i M+S markings and an improved sipe layout.. This greatly improves starting and braking on snowy roads.
All-season tyres should also offer safety on dry roads. Quadraxer 2 has an optimal contact patch. This ensures a 9% (3.5m) shorter braking distance compared to the previous-generation model (according to the tests carried out by the Michelin Group on the Fontange track, using the size 205/55 R16 91H.
