So far i've been driving on Goodyear Efficientgrip Compacts for a year and a half. 7k miles done. Too soon to assess their durability but they still seem to be new.
They perform well even if there's a downpour outside. Doesn't make it harder to drive. Good tyres that stick well to the road. After i've switched those from my old
Michelins my wife said she does feel the difference (better handling). Fuel usage looks decent too. You can feel some resistance while starting the car up but it's no
biggie. Noice level and stuff are ok. My car isn't exactly soundproof but it isn't loud enough to be a nuisance even after several hours driving. Generally i'd recommend
those. One can feel safe and comfy after fitting these Goodyears :)
In tha spring i've had a hard time choosing new summer tyres (as the previous ones worn out). While looking I wanted to get the best product at a relatively low price so i was looking durable tyres that offer the best performance for a reasonable price. It was a season since they bought Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact, so i think it's time to tell what i think. Compared to the previous tyres those are much more quiet, got lower rolling resistance (fuel consuption is lower), there's better handling on curves as well as general grip in the wet thanks to good drainage. After about 50 hundred miles I did not notice any significant wear. Used this way should last at least 3 more seasons.
The Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact act very predictably so i'm more than content with them. They are quite aggressive when breaking. You can hear them a bit but in this cas
it's probably the rough asphalt which is at fault (driving on it to and from work). On a smooth road the noise vanishes. Too soon to say anything about treadwear rate cause
it's a few months since i fitted those and drove less than 2000 miles. I even had opportunity to chceck those on snow for 2 days (it was during march) and they don't do well
in such conditions. Fantastic for dry and wet but since it's a summer tyre don't expect they'll do well on snow.
I've driven over 20000 miles on most asphalt surfaces and must say that Goodyears excel on dry roads. Only once had a slip on wet but it was probably due to speeding at the
time. I don't see much wear on the tread so far. Nothing more than a slight noise so the're very quiet too. No problem taking a nap ;) I don't believe much in the
differences in rolling resistance but still no troubles there. I sure recommend Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact. They're excellent
Those are tyres to be recommended. Truth to be told i bought them only recently but i'm glad i did. They hold on to the road very well both on dry and wet. Very quiet too.
I'm beginning thinking about buying winter tyres and i'll definately pay attention to the same producer the Oponeo will have in stock. I would recommend Goodyear
Efficientgrip Compact to every driver. Affordable tyres and very good quality!!!
Goodyear Efficientgrip Compact 175/65 R14 82 T
The passenger car tyre, Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact, is a proposal for those seeking reliable and checked tyres. The characteristics of the model are the functionality and comfort in the use. The tyre is light and modern – and is based on the latest technology. Thanks to the modern tread pattern and its rigid form, rolling resistance has been reduced and pressure distribution on the surface is balanced . The advantage of the tyre is its fuel efficiency, which is noticeable straightaway. In addition, the tyre does not wear out quickly and the tread wears off slowly and evenly . The Goodyear EfficientGrip can be used for much longer than other tyres of the same class.
The tyre is designed for passenger cars, for daily travel and also for people who like a little more power in their drive. The fans of speed will appreciate the tyres speed index, which is nearly 125 mph. In addition, the tyre is very quiet, even at high speeds and on wet roads. The model also works well in the rain and drizzle. Through the grooves and the transverse sipes, the tyre helps to reduce breaking distance, and also stops the car from skidding. The modern technologies which have been used make driving exceptionally stable and safe .
Goodyear is an American company and it is one of the largest in the world . The companies history dates back to 1898. The company is now the third largest to manufacture tyres and other rubber products. The company brands - in addition to its own - include: Fulda, Sava, Dunlop and Debica.
Fuel efficiency is rated from A to G on a colour-coded scale.
A class (green) stands for the best fuel efficiency rating (=the lowest rolling resistance).
G class (red) marks the worst fuel efficiency rating (= the highest rolling resistance). Rolling resistance influences fuel consumption and fume emission, therefore the lower the resistance, the lower fuel consumption and exhaust fume emission is.
Wet grip is the tyre’s ability to adhere to the road in wet conditions. The EU rating focuses only on one aspect of wet grip – wet braking performance of the tyre. Wet grip is rated from A to G:
A class stands for the best braking performance, whereas G class stands for the worst braking performance. It is one of the crucial parameters which influence the road safety.
Tyres contribute to the level of external noise a vehicle generates. Choosing a tyre with a low noise level rating will lower the influence of your driving on the surrounding environment.
