Dunlop SportMaxx RT is a summer season tyre from our premium range which will please even the most demanding drivers, as it delivers the utmost quality and a well-balanced performance, on differing road conditions. It is designed for sports vehicles, and transfers the power of high-powered engines directly to the road.

This tyre comes with an asymmetric tread, which enables it to perform strongly on both dry and wet roads. Steering precision is enhanced by the continuous central rib, and grip is boosted by having an asymmetric distribution of grooves, which prevents undue slippage in wet conditions. All this allows the Dunlop SportMaxx RT to deliver confident, and error-free driving not only on a straight road, but also when driving around a corner too.

The tread-to-road footprint is enhanced by having a flat tread pattern, and this provides extra traction and more exact steering. The Dunlop SportMaxx RT is extremely durable and even has an accidental rim protection feature, so the tyre retains its shape in spite of kerb collisions. It is constructed with a rubber silica mix which helps acceleration and reduces rolling resistance, helping fuel-efficiency along the way.

As this tyre was developed especially for sports cars it means that control is better, especially when cornering, and it is very responsive to driver's commands, and is also accomplished on wet surfaces. The Dunlop SportMaxx RT performs strongly across the board, and will assist drivers who like high-speed driving.

The Dunlop tyre company was started in 1888 by tyre pioneer John Dunlop who invented and copyrighted the first pneumatic car tyre. The Dunlop brand is currently owned by Goodyear, which also oversees brands such as Fulda, Sava, Arrowspeed.

    Very good tyre, I am already on my second set. Please note that there are 2 types of Dunlop Sport Maxx RT on the market. I am evaluating the older model, the newer not only has a different rubber and tread but also a different width. I know because I ordered it for my brother and he got a completely different tyre.     Very quiet tyres. They almost bite into the tarmac. The car has been lowered by 20 mm, it is a bit stiffer, and I can take turns on these tyres at, for example, 70 km/h, where on the previous tyres I was afraid to drive at 50 km/h. Overall, I can highly recommend them. Read more Collapse
