Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5

Went from AS3 to AS5. Got amazing wear on the rear tyres from AS3, so hope similar wear from the AS5. New tyres all round and went for AS5 this time. Can't fault them. I feel confident transporting my family with these tyres and when my partner is driving in wet conditions with the kids, I know they've got the best chance possible to avoid incidents as the performance on a wet surface is astounding. Was initially concerned whether they'd be noisy after reading some reviews but that's proved to be nonsense. If they wear as well as the AS3, I'll be an extremely happy repeat customer...again. They wear out quite quickly, but the specifics of the car and driving mean that I only replace one pair at a time – the rear ones are always fine. As for driving, as long as they are relatively new – up to about 5 mm of tread – they have a good grip, even when starting off. As soon as they are more worn, traction control kicks in when accelerating a little harder on wet roads. A similar phenomenon occurs when accelerating in 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear on wet roads, where the traction control slightly jerks the car during strong acceleration. Read more Collapse

I switched from Pirelli P Zero and these are definitely better. Their behaviour on a wet, flooded road had me positively surprised. Emergency braking in water-filled ruts passed with flying colours. When it comes to dry surfaces, I have no comments – it’s perfect. As a curiosity, I crossed the Stelvio Pass with them, when there was some snow on the road and temperatures were around 0 and it all went well. Read more Collapse

The tyres are a perfect fit for my car. They perform perfectly in corners. The tyres are very quiet, even at high speeds. I have owned many different brands of tyres, and these are definitely the best. During balancing, my long-time mechanic was full of admiration because he practically didn't have to use any weights. I definitely recommend F1 tyres. Tested both on dry surfaces and during heavy rain on the motorway. The difference between me and other vehicles during heavy rain is particularly noticeable. When other drivers slow down by at least 20 km, I still drive at the previously set cruise control speed. A really excellent choice in this tyre category. I recommend them. Read more Collapse
