Kumho KU31

I have two cars a MR2 that had cheaper tyres on it that were really hopeless in the wet. I also have a BMW with 275 tyres and to buy four of those with a big brand name is just crazy expensive. Thankfully someone told me about Kumho. I ordered 4 for the MR2 and 4 for the BMW and I am delighted with the experience on both. Great in the dry and great in the wet. The MR2 is prone to slipping in the wet but so far not on these tyres. The BMW has so much power it can make most tyres slip easily in the wet. Not these. When I got a local tyre guy to fit them he said Kumho are the best kept secret in the tyre business. Read more Collapse

I have used these tyres for a few years now and I find them to be really good. I think the dry weather grip is brilliant. It's very hard to push them over the edge. They may not last as long but I think this due to them being made with a softer compound. In the wet they do not perform as well but by no means are they are poor performer. Tire writes very well in dry conditions. Wet revelation. After entering at 70km / h in a pool of water deep enough, only hampered auto. I found the fit Pirelli p zero standard thin tires in the dry, but in the wet, they lose traction very easily, one of my friends recommended the ku31s and at the price point that I could not really talk. Tried on the driven rear wheels and has found much better in the wet than old tires, the dry grip is virtually the same too. KU31 have used for many years and on larger higher performance cars. Never given the slightest problem wet or dry, but in saying that I'm not a big proponent of pushing things to the limit on public roads.
