Kumho WinterCraft WP52 is a modern and safe class of medium class tyere prepered for every weather conditions of the winter season. It is made from an advanced rubber compound optimised for low temperatures, snow and wet surfaces. As a result, it performs sensationally in the colder months - it does not stiffen and always offers its full qualities.
Safe and stable driving in winter conditions
Low temperatures and a coating of snow are some of the most demanding conditions for tyres. That's why Kumho designers have developed an advanced directional tread with an anti-snow accumulation system. The optimised central zone design reduces the risk of tread stiffening, allowing the tread to actively work through the miles covered. As a result, driving is predictable and safe.
The 3D self-locking siping system increases the stability of the tread blocks and provides better traction on snow. It helps to maintain a constant area of contact between the tyre and the road and further reduces braking distances at low temperatures. The resulting new footprint shape improves all driving parameters in typical winter conditions.
Safety comfort in any situation
However, the winter season is not only about snow-covered roads, but also about the increasingly frequent rainy conditions during this time of year. It is therefore also important to adapt the tyre for safe driving on wet surfaces. To ensure a feeling of confidence and a great driving experience, the designers have equipped the Kumho WinterCraft WP52 with a tread with wide transverse grooves. Their optimised shape minimises the risk of aquaplaning and their slanted alignment facilitates the rapid evacuation of fluids that accumulate under the tyre.
The modern pyramids placed in the shoulder area are also certainly worthy of attention. Their different heights are to absorb noise generated by the tyres, ensuring the highest travel comfort for the driver and passengers. At the same time, they look unconventional, sensationally complementing the characteristic pattern covering the sides of the model.
Kumho is a South Korean company that supplies the market with mid-range tyres. Its products are distinguished by their affordable price, very good performance and durability. Due to their properties, they are valued by drivers all over the world, as well as by car manufacturers who are keen to choose them as first equipment for their cars.
