A serious tyre, I am living in Ireland and have a 100 mile round trip commute on country roads and motorway. The back roads go untreated all winter. I first tried Nokian tyres on my old Merc 190E, the WRA3 were a super tyre even in heavy snow in an old rear wheel drive car. I am running these WRD3 on my wifes Citroen C3 hdi, I had a 2005 Subaru Outback that had them as well. The Citroen really holds the road fantasically well in all conditions. We run winter tyres all year round on both our cars as the heavy rain we get here can only be displaced safely at motorway speeds by a good quality winter tyre. In frost and snow these tyres are superb, so good in fact that now my wife is off on maternity leave if it is very icy or snowy I will use the Citroen for my commute as I know it will literally go anywhere. I have Hankook Winter ICept Evo on my 2002 Audi A4 Avant 130 TDI, I couldn't fincially stretch to the Nokians when I was buying tyres for my car, in hindsight I should have spent the extra €150 as I have little faith in the Hankook's, they are good in heavy rain and when the tempetature in below 7deg but nothing like the quality of the Nokian WRD3's. So far we have put 20,0000 km's up on our current tyres, the wear is excellent but I maybe could have rotated them sooner, the front show significantly more wear than the rear so I will run them until October 2015 then replace them, rather than cheap out and have the better ones on the front and an average pair on the rear. Incidently in summer I raise the pressure up to 42psi to reduce wear, now its winter I'm running them at 32psi. I will change my Hankooks in October 2015 for a set of Nokians that I will have more faith in. Tyres can be costly but they are the only thing seperating us from the road, people in Ireland think I am mad running winter tyres and have no real idea what they are but given our low winter temps and heavy rainfalls coupled with untreated, poorly maintained back roads they make perfect sense. I am rating Nokian WR D3 tyres in size 185/60/14 82T Russian production. In its opinion, I will only refer to other winter tires was help, and were Goodyear UltraGrip 6, Fulda Kristall Montero, Kleber and BFGoodrich Winter Krisalp HP GForce. I selected this tyre due to the evaluation of users, the price and the fact that in the tested was assessed as a versatile tyre, and for me the most anxious. Upon receipt of the email tyres has certainly disappointed their appearance. Definitely do not look to the premium class. 2 of 4 tires occurred bosses, just above the lettering and the surface of the contact rim. It is a big drawback. There were no problems with balance. The tyre of the quietest not part. It is certainly quieter than Goodyear, but stronger than Kleber and BFGoodrich I need 2 cars. Braking, steering, handling on both wet and dry conditions very well in order, and best of all the tires we had. In this regard, I cannot fault this tyre. Perhaps in the continental test it out better, but the objectivity of the tests being what it is. In addition, the road is not a test track and the differences of 0.5 or 1 m for the average user are virtually imperceptible. Very good also removes inequality. I can confidently recommend Nokian WR D3 tyre, even those who drive very aggressively. The tyre is predictable, well, you can feel when his grip ends. For the price, I am very happy. For me, competing with Goodyear and Continental performance tire for less money, but slightly worse executed. If someone depends on making the best quality / durability / price, this would be a good choice. Read more Collapse

I bought a set of Nokian WR D3 tyres and just after they were released, before there was criticism. I was very happy with them. My previous set of summer tyres wore out last year and been using them all year. They have very soft sidewalls, I do not know why some people say they are stiff. They are comfortable and relatively quiet. The wet grip is not particularly great, but I’ve had much worse on wet tyres like Michelin Energy on that car. They are much better than Goodyear Eagle F1 in the wet below 7C! The dry grip is reasonable. They work very well in summer without wearing badly. they are perfect in winter. they surprisingly low rolling resistance, a little lower than my old Michelin Energy! The tread in Nokian WR D3 is also very good. I’ve use them all year round in the UK today, they are OK in the summer, when the tires were much better traction anyway, and very good in the winter when things tend to be more slippery. When buying tyres Nokian WR D3 I was inquisitively looking for information about them and I was reading the opinions of other drivers to find out whether the tyres are worth buying . When I finally decided to buy these tyres, I waited for a long time before I put my own opinion as I wanted it to be sincere and true. Now I can honestly say I do not regret my choice and I am very satisfied with the tyres. They are great on any surfaces, and I tested them on dry and wet surfaces as well as on snow and ice. Moreover, their big advantages are great resistance to damage and attrition. Some drivers may wonder if they should buy Nokians which are not so well-known and I understand that because I was also wondering and making my little research, however, they are not worse than other tyres of the upmarket brands!! In short, they are worth recommending. Read more Collapse

Actually .... Nokian WR D3 are very soft tyres with standard pressure (2.2 in my car, with 2.4 it was already good) behaviour on the wet ground could be a little better. Tyres behave quite well on dry ground, but let’s be honest and do not require the winter tire has qualities of a summer tire on dry ground. With regard to winter conditions, unfortunately, I have not yet seen the comportment Nokian WR D3 on snow therefore difficult to assess. By cons there already await some ice here and I found that if someone is looking for winter tires for really difficult conditions I can honestly recommend Nokian WR D3. If someone wants to buy a tyre for all types of road conditions, it may be disappointed but if you want something Nokian allowing you to ride safely in winter, you will surely be satisfied. These tyres are really worth the price! The most important thing to me is that thanks to them I haven't had any problems with the slides. On the previous tyres I slipped on the snow, not to mention on the ice, but this winter I could be completely calm. The grip is just superb! Very small tread wear, almost imperceptible. When it comes to driving comfort I am also delighted. On dry or wet surfaces the drive is pleasant and comfortable. Buying Nokian WR D3 tyres was certainly one of my best decisions. In conclusion, a lot of meaningful advantages. As for the drawbacks, there are certainly some, however, I personally did not see anything that would be a problem for me. I recommend these tyres with a clear conscience because when it comes to quality and safety they are sensational. Read more Collapse

Hi, I have these Nokian WR D3 tyres since the beginning of this winter. I decided in August to buy them because I had previously Debica Frigo 2 and time lost its driveability, so I wanted to buy something better, if only attacked the winter began to test and discovered that a very large snow tyre behaves like Dębica fridge 2. Nokian WR D3 surprised me very positively with heavy rains, as it is very easy to hold the road and the emergency brake the car stops immediately when it comes to crushing ice tyres in my opinion. Today, when brother bought tyres form local fitting station learned that, unfortunately, my tires ARE MADE IN RUSSIA not in FINLAND. Read more Collapse

I return with an opinion on these tires after testing under typical winter conditions. My ratings regarding the size 185/60/14. The tires produced in Russia. On the fresh snow. Both start-off and braking without reservation. ABS understands very late. Keep on slush and snow also very good. After the intentional introduction of skidding the car feeling as soft tire slip catches. Limit very predictable grip - easy to detect. Braking on wet roads usually falls slightly worse. On a dry road and unskilled. Very cool removes inequality. With defects in this noise and of average quality. Premium class type and tire lugs are ugly. I drove once branded tires Platin German budget and they were better executed. But these are defects that do not directly affect the security so that you can live with them. When it comes to driving parameters I think it is a very good tire at a good price. So far I've used winter tires Fulda Kristall Montero, Goodyear UltraGrip 7, and HP Krisalp Kleber BF Goodrich Winter GFrorce. Nokian tires is definitely the best with what I was talking about. During installation there was no problem with balancing. Have weight max. 10g, while not confirmed, supposedly Nokia Russia had problems with balancing. I highly recommend! Read more Collapse

205/55R16 tires mounted on e46 320d Touring. They have very soft edges to monistic that's my impression. Usually I drive I will quickly and aggressively. In curves bowed very automatic. I also had the pleasure (and perhaps not been fun) to run with the speed of 170 km - with tires - the car then tramblait. The problem does not exist or with summer tires, or tires with my previous winter. Starting and braking ok. I have not driven on snow. But the behavior of dry soil estau less strange. Car looks great, but does not lose traction. Impressions of driving are weird, so I do not recommend it. Read more Collapse

I drove about 1000 km on the Nokianach recently purchased. The lack of snow, if the assessment covers only dry and wet surface after a rain. For dry hair: well maintained, inhibition stable at high speeds, but (as with winter tires), the road a little longer. No sound, even silence on board. A very big plus, low noise. Cornering at higher speeds does not swim. On a wet, quietly taking the road. Meanwhile the snow tread rubber quality gives hope for good results. (5 credit evaluation). Ok after the first snow :) The price to quality ratio is phenomenal. Recommend Read more Collapse

I drove two weeks my wife for a month and I do not recommend it. This is the last time I buy Nokian. Auto floats gently from right to left with greater speed and curves, even at 115 km (Focus 1.8 TDCI), it can also lose grip a wet surface. Driving much less certain than summer tires. I've been driving for 15 years and I don 'have never felt such a difference - it was better Debica Frigo. Maybe the tires are good on snow, but already I fear what will happen when it starts to rain (still dry). This is certainly not for the city of Tyre. Read more Collapse

I bought the tires due to the positive feedback from users. It's nice in the snow outside and ujeżdżonym well it performs. I'm driving for 96 years and this winter I ran twice on these tires in an uncontrolled skid. Slip held in the city at the turn (90 degrees) at time 0 C temperature after about 3. I will quietly, but tear at these temperatures for asphalt when it is covered (not raining !!!) is a tragedy . After the company was expecting a better performance. This is my first and last purchase of that brand of tires:-( Read more Collapse

In November 2014, 215/60 R16 tires mounted a 99 H XL for Ford S-Max 1.6 petrol 160 hp. Catastrophic ride comfort, very hard tires, move all the bumps. Very strange behavior on the road. At a temperature of 2-3 degrees of winter tires should be soft, and they are very difficult. I installed the new car tires after reading reviews of other users. In the previous car I installed the middle class Kleber tires. Sensational tires. Nokian tires, premium class, the disastrous purchase. Read more Collapse

Compared with the Dunlop Winter Sport 4D which I used in the previous season are great tires. Firstly, quieter waiting more comfortable on the road in August and better cornering and choose inequality. Dunlopy tend to experience the climb on the ground at higher speeds, was more difficult and much stronger. Nokia in my subjective winter really successful in all road conditions tires sentiment. In this beautifully furnished in equilibrium. I recommend to all. Read more Collapse

I go on these tires only the first season, I live in the mountains, I go to work (Belgium) to return to the view in the mountains in the snow, melting snow-rewelka no problem with out you drifts, uphill, on the ice a little leg with gas and the car goes the same route (dry surface) quiet tires, the braking distance on wet surfaces without problems. I'm happy and I know that on these tires, I got in the winter season. Read more Collapse

At that price it's probably one of the best choices, more beautiful appearance. It is difficult to say how the tire perform in eg 3-4 seasons. From experience, I can see that after 4 years of driving most tires lose a lot of quality despite short distances. I do not know if this is the case all winter tires, but the rubber is aging faster than summer tires. I judge the quality of Nokian very good. Read more Collapse

J 'hoping that would Nokian meilleirs but I was wrong ... Poor traction in winter conditions compared aves my previous tires - max dunlop sport tires 205/55/16 m3. Very good job of tires on dry pavement, almost like summer on the wet tires I did not notice any problems either. The just great traction on snow. They produce some noise at higher speeds (130 kmh), but it is bearable. Pretty hard tires for winter tires, but at this price I definitely recommend. Enjoy it! Read more Collapse

I drove two winter seasons on these tires have about 20 000 km during this period, from 50% and 50% in the city and in good conscience I can recommend these tires perform very well, the car performed reliably and stably, and more wear after traveling this distance is about 2 mm. I would recommend. Read more Collapse
