Tyre details:

The Nokian WR A3 has 3 main characteristics: excellent grip and steerability in any winter conditions, stability and very good driveability at any temperature and reduced fuel consumption. The model is the ideal choice for drivers of cars with a high performance engine looking for a tyre that offers steering precision, even in difficult conditions and at high speeds. Tests carried out in severe conditions have proved that the Nokian WR A3 easily handles even the most difficult of road conditions found in Europe.

Nokian WR A3 asymetryczny bieznik

Thanks to its asymmetric tread pattern, the tyre provides excellent grip. The special arrangement of the inner shoulder means that it quickly and effectively disperses water and slush. The product offers excellent performance during sudden manoeuvres, such as lane changes and overtaking, as well as when going round corners.

Nokian WR A3 mieszanka gumowa

The tyre is made from a special compound, which combines natural rubber, silica and canola oil. This material ensures good grip (including on wet roads) and high resistance to wear at any temperature, thus making the tyre more environmentally friendly.

Nokian WR A3 wglebienia wyciszajace

The arrangement of the semi-circular recesses on the sides of the longitudinal ribs minimises the heat generated by the tyre, making the tyre safer and more durable, even at high speeds. This solution reduces rolling resistance, resulting in lower fuel consumption. This innovation reduces tyre noise both inside and outside the vehicle. This feature is also down to the tyre's "Quiet Side Wall" solution, which absorbs vibrations from the tyre surface and stops them penetrating the inside of the vehicle.

Nokian WR A3 wskaznik bezpieczenstwa

The Nokian WR A3 features an easy to use tread wear indicator and a snowflake symbol. This allows the driver to control a situation where the tyre is no longer fit for use in winter conditions.

Nokian Tyres is a Finnish manufacturer of premium tyres. The company specialises in producing excellent tyres noted for their superb performance in any winter conditions. The first winter tyre and the first environmentally friendly tyre on the market was made by Nokian Tyres. Nokian Tyres tires are manufactured in factories in Finland and Russia, among other locations.

I am very satisfied, that I did not listen to the fitters in my local garage, because they just wanted to sell me tyres which was lying in their place. Due to fact, that I have very decent car, they wanted me to buy very expensive Yokohama tyres. I have spoken with one of your advisers and decided to buy Nokian WR A3. The price was very decent and the ratings very high. I wanted tyres with a good tread pattern for snow, specially that I have planned a trip to Russia. I am very calm driver, so I am not interested in tyres with a high speed index. I have decided on the Scandinavian quality and I do not regret. Very quiet and very good fuel efficiency. I am thinking to buy summer tyres from Nokian as well. I am fully recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

Nokian WR A3 was the first set of tyres which I bought to my car. With the car I have bought Hankook I-cept, which was not very good. I have heard that Nokian tyres are designed in Finland, so they know for sure how to deal in the winter conditions. In the winter conditions the Nokian tyres are behaving very good, there is no point to compare them with the Hankooks. Maybe they are a little too soft, but perfect for snow, specially for the long trip with a high speed. The only disadvantage was, that I had to balanced them twice (second time after 1500 miles). I have not noticed the tread ware after this season. For the users who like to work fast and aggressive type of driving, I would recommend Nokian with the higher speed index. Read more Collapse

I am very surprised the quality of the Nokian WR A3 comparing it to the price. What is more the tyre is very very quiet, almost like one of the summer tyres. I am a user of many different brands – Pirelli, Michelin, Goodyear, Debica, but this Nokian seems to be one of the best, which I have ever used. Very quiet with a good grip on every surface and also fantastic fuel efficiency. The last which I had was Michelin Alpin and these was the worst tyres ever! The grip on slush was horrible. All of the other tyres, which I had, was very noisy and Nokian WR A3 seems to be more quiet than the summer Goodyear, which I just bought. Read more Collapse

At my work as the professional driver I am doing almost 30 thousand miles per year, so I am changing tyres very often and I know the offer form a different manufacturers. I am reading the test results and reviews. I have never go for the budget tyre during the winter season – my life depends on them. Nokain WR A3 are very decent tyres in a reasonable price. They have a good grip on the dry surfaces, specialy with the high speed on the highway. The braking is perfect. Also the good grip in the other weather conditions – like rain or snow. I recommend Nokian to all users who cares for their safety and safety of their family. Read more Collapse

I was thinking which winter tyres to choose for a long time. I have spent a lot of time for reading reviews, checking test results before I place an order. Now I do not regret every single penny spent on Nokian WR A3 tyres. In my opinion they are doing perfectly well. I have driven on them 4 000 miles now, but I was manged to check their behavior in different weather conditions. They have never failed me. Nokians are not very loud and they have very good grip – specially on the snow. I can recommend these tyres to every user, who is looking for decent tyres in a reasonable price. Read more Collapse

Since starting to use Nokian WRA3 tyres, i would not use any other tyre. They are an excellent gripping tyre in dry conditions and just as good on wet roads, which we have alot of even during the summer months. Although this is a winter tyre, it grips just as well on a warm dry road. Typically, i would get 20,000Km from Conti/Good years... Nokian tyres are returning 45 - 50,000Km easily. Highly recommend these tyres. Read more Collapse

After the original tyres that came with the car only lasted 34k, I had to shop around and look for the best. I wanted all weather grip along with good wear, these tyres though a little pricey were well reviewed and rightly so. With tyres you get what you pay for and I will be buying another set of these. I have 54K up on them now with possibly another 10k before i order the new set. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I've clocked 3 winter seasons on these tires now use their fourth. I must say that despite the thick like a winner 30000 km about 5 mm, unfortunately, driveability beyond the roads well odśnieżonymi meager for premium tires. Move up on the snow covered road - the car slides ASR go haywire and basically without the help of a colleague the problem is with you emerge even in reverse. Easy way to snow depth (the ankle) - the problem of hunting, ASR non-stop wheel brake without non-stop towing ASR wheel even at low gas are brushed. Braking - fresh snow - no ABS revelations never let go of the steering wheel. To summarize, under average winter tire less strictly. Wet, dry road - same speed of 200 km / h are no problem, tire grips the road well, predictable. Hydroplaning - large pools and a speed of about 100 km / h - the car flees sensitive side to the other, can not cope with large amounts of water discharge. Move very resistant to abrasion after 4 seasons - 4-5mm, which means that it is difficult and hard fins cooperate with the ground, which must be done by a bad grip on snow. Riding round bends without any problem, and walk steep sides, no effect of the flames. Overall, the tire is good for the months of spring and autumn, not winter road cleared of snow. I demand the best of my tires and I am very impressed by the Nokian WR A3. I did not know at first because it is not part of the big brands, but after reading some reveiws I decided to take the plunge. After driving the full winter season on the last year and just given them out of this winter, I can not blame them. They stick very well to cold asphalt (wet or dry) completely eliminate that "fat" you get with summer or all-season tires when the roads are cold. Even with a light frost or light snow covering the road these tires still left feeling confident in the ability of rubber to keep the car in which he was supposed to be. I was never able to try all these in heavy snow, but I have them mounted on a rear wheel drive sports sedan wheels so probably would not want to anyway. The grip on hot asphalt is not as good as my summer tires, but I certainly would not mark these down to this because it is not what they are designed for, these tires are tires winter, and I can only assume that users who mentioned about a slight lack of grip on wet surfaces are comparing these to a summer tire on a hot road. Definitely a good tire. I'll start with the cons. Do not weigh as well as quality products. Apparently, there are no vibrations, but felt slightly worse than the most expensive producers beating up and down quality (minimal, but they are). In this regard, I am very picky and I turn to it. On the same set of simple rims tires Pirelli is perfectly arranged and there was absolutely nothing wrong, and if Nokia has been more difficult. Both sets were weighted on the same machine with the test track. In addition, the 17 "look a bit like all the time they were inflated. Quieter with mainly dry and wet. I was surprised very positively that they can barely hear, and not only as zimówkę, but in general, tires. revelation in the snow, especially on the side of detention. FWD good, but not crazy. Inhibition They keep a high level of approx. Okay remove inequalities. No. and more for Rancik edge protection. "ll see how it will continue, ie, how long retain their properties. Overall I would recommend, because that money does not buy a better, new winter tires. Read more Collapse

I bought the car tires of his wife. I wanted to buy a good brand without a special look at the price. I suppose the Scandinavian winter will be better than the middle-class tires premium tires in Europe. Sorry disappointment. Of course the big snow tires are great. However, in terms of our winter "Polish" - they are mediocre at best. Strong enough and significantly increase the rolling resistance. I thought my better half only tedious but not - Car pojeździłem few months and I have similar feelings. Complete tragedy is wet performance at low temperatures (but positive). Auto riding unsteadily loses traction, you must free more than other road users to drive safely rotate. Reviewed more than a year of buying bad because I did not want to write about this brand (I liked) without justification. The tire I can only recommend those moving car with a capacity of less than 160 hp, with a calm driving style who need the car in the snow. As a versatile tire changing weather conditions - not to check. Read more Collapse

A bright winter tire gives a comfortable ride, quiet and return a good economy. I'm almost as good as my performance summer tires Goodyear Excellence (circa 53mpg). Can not expect them to understand just as well in the dry, but not far and wet grip is excellent, although in fewer numbers. These tires feel assured providing plenty of feedback and driver confidence in winter conditions. Covered just over 7k miles this season and they still look like new. I do a mixture of fast country roads as well as the shuttle at a reasonable distance on two tracks and highways. Not really a lot of snow to test this winter (2014/2015) and the little that we receive, could not accurately compare the Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme I had on my previous car. Hope to be able to give them a full training this winter. Can easily see during 3-4 seasons depending if the rubber is triggered as the Vreds. Read more Collapse

I chose these tires for my Volvo V60 because I wanted a winter tire that would still provide good performance and driving interesting. After 5,000+ miles there is still tread remaining 7mm, suggesting a lifespan of more than 20,000 miles practicable. The steering is very responsive, with better feedback than my summer tires (Continental SportContact 5) and overall feel much more. Slightly increased fuel consumption compared to the Contis, (about 49 mpg on WR-A3 against 51 mpg on summer tires), and slightly increased road noise. Not enough opportunity to test on the snow again, buit a quick blast through the Peak District in January during a snowstorm suggests they will do everything you need in a winter tire. Overall I think the tires are fantastic and I highly recommend them. Because of my positive experience I now seeking joint Nokian Z-Lines to replace my summer tires. Read more Collapse

Tires purchased suggesting that earlier I had them in another car (4x4). Then they exercised perfectly, even on large snow and slush. Currently has no snow drove the 2500 km on the road on dry roads and high rainfall. I drive fast, dynamic wet roads and at a speed of about 160 km / h when I was a situation that had to withdraw suddenly rear tire proved to be the perfect adhesion and for a second I attached all correction systems path. local ice surface is also not a problem for them. Full membership and completely stress-free ride. 220 kmh does not offer them also no problem :) In short, the tire is not the cheapest nor the most expensive quality, but very good. Since the tire is the only part that touches the asphalt seems to me that you should not unduly on that save. I am very happy with my purchase and if I had more time to buy would buy exactly the same model tires. Read more Collapse

Tires purchased last year (2013) and przejeździłem the 2014 winter season 2013 /. For this model I have mixed feelings (in the class of the previous car and higher average power 250HP and 400Nm had Nokia WR G2 and these I was happy to 6 +) ... maybe because I now have a little Ibiza (1100 kg) and very high (140 hp and 310 nm). Namely, the sharp winter conditions (snow kopny and black) tires have a problem collecting the accession of the normal traction, but once it starts processing it vigorously accelerated immediately very well "bite" and my car once, twice before launching. Even with an emergency braking or slippery overcome arcs in a normal excel great. Tires conclusion that the most recommended, but I think the większegi and heavier cars ... these are my feelings. My car has 260HP and a great time. I needed a tire that will give me a good performance, even in winter. I'm not talking about race, but in emergency situations, so I can rely on them. I found it. When starting and braking does the job, even on icy roads. Unfortunately, after driving 7tys miles I spent 1.5mm tread - but something for something. Some people write on tire noise. He is strong, but the car segment D I did not hear anything. It may well sound booth? Eliminating inequalities also can not properly assess because the car has hardened suspension and evaluation are unreliable. I bought this tire because of the good value for money. Dunlop / Pirelli / Goodyear are overrated. Pay attention to whether the tire is produced in Russia or Finland for MNEI it mattered. Read more Collapse

I bought Nokian WR A3 205/55 R16 91 H and the boy I'm in shock, because poorly managed. I had a Honda Nokia, I had a Volvo Nokia + and they were great. As a fan of the brand, I bought my 318d Nokia WR and slides! In my car (Laguna III 2.0T 204) Nokian WR A3 tires mounted since 10/2011 after 25 000 km still to redo a season! They are just perfect. Excellent price / quality is as good as many other tires "prestige" that are much more expensive brands. I am very satisfied with these snow tires that give traffic rules imposed: 30/50/70 in cities, on routes 70/90/110, 90/110/130 on motorways, are made in this use. However, I did a lot of mountain roads and high mountains (Alpes, Auvergne) I Led sports within the limits, 70/90, on the laces of a mountain usually generates more adrenaline than 250 road all day long and night, I'm no different walks reference is three times longer and is much less enjoyable for my portfolio. This is my second winter tire Nokian game. First I bought a second car 185/60/14 size (Model WR D3). After the first snows and mud, I say it was the best winter tire I've ever had (and I rode Kleber Krisalp HP, Fulda Montero Cristall, BF Goodrich G-Force Winter, Goodyear Ultragrip 7). so I decided to buy the Nokia for a second car. This time the choice fell on the WR A3 205/50/17 size model. And here also be disappointed. The asymmetric tread is quieter than the WR D3, also doing better in dry conditions. Snow comparable to WR D3 - that is sensational. Tires made in Russia, and there were no problems with their balance (and these opinions can be found in the Internet). The tires were installed on a brand new car and all is well. The next will also Nokia. Read more Collapse

Dear hold a large, both on dry and wet roads, as well as on snow and bad weather pośniegowej. My problem in the choice of tires is that they are not proven to be "circular" an "oval." At low speed of 40-50 km / h feel like the car "bounces", while higher speeds bounce unbearable vibration propagation passes all over the car. Tragically when braking (impressions for diagnostic station for control dampers). After the recommended proper. optimization (rotation of the tire on the rim) and the re-balancing of vibrations decreased slightly, but still. Read more Collapse

Well removes inequality is calm mega (as zimówkę). However, in the wet is a fairy tale. Puddles, high speed on the highway in the pouring rain, it does nothing for this tire impressions, holding that stupid. Regarding the snow / ice, here more nuts. Auto likes to run on a slippery surface ASR / ESP is what to do. In other words, you can not make it to be the best on all surfaces. Well, the best price / quality! In my opinion, these Nokia excellent very good. Its superiority over other tires show especially in the aspect of driving in the snow and slush. Both running and braking in these conditions over are exemplary. For me, even better than Continentalach Conti Winter Contact or Michelin Alpin A4. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to check their braking ability on the ice, but I suspect it is similar to the tires I mentioned that Nokian is a rubber compound with a similar sweetness. Asymmetric shape of the tires giving a lot while driving on wet roads and even when driving fast aquaplanningu effect was small. If tire life will be enough for me to definitely buy again. So far I mounted branded winter tires. But I did hear about them on the mechanics together and pointed to Nokia. I bought it, I founded and .... great to go and rides! I made a road to Innsbruck and back to very severe where snow was falling heavily and it was really slippery. I approx. 90 000 km per year due to the evolution of tires frequently. In any case, they provide advice and donuts were fantastically even during hard braking when cooperated with ABS. There is absolutely safe. The love wet and icy conditions, nothing like a little handbrake turn in the mud or on ice. Mazda 6 certainly not the fastest car I owned, but pretty light and good training. I feel I did not push these tires to the limit that I did not give them all the credit they deserve, but: Have made over 6k miles on them, especially in wet and icy conditions . They stick well to wet and dry, very well on snow, and reasonable on the ice. Looks & Durability: They look great, have not lost much over the 6k. No noise quieter tires, but what would you expect from winter game? Overall: I think one of the best winter game, but good quality at a reasonable price. Read more Collapse

I have used these tires in two cars - but the current Fiesta was the BMW E91. On snow and water A3 are really great. I did not really nothing to complain. Winter traction in the Fiesta surprised me that I'm used to driving Impreza WRX. On dry asphalt, leased in the tests, the Nokia is no more convincing to inhibition, which is ok. However, low lateral stiffness of the tire caused the heavy BMW rear wheel at high speed lane changes. Ford is not so sensitive, but it's a quick ride in style like chewing on a good summer, in principle, no way. For wet and dry conditions are valid. I have not tested in the snow because last winter was founded in principle "to the end" of the season and not too many miles in the snow. Quiet and comfortable in this profile. I am pleased to handle cornering and braking. Not to mention the price, because there are those who will bear the Audi A6 cormorants or like me, who appreciate the safety on the road and buy a top shelf tires - he eventually tires as reflected in traction and the proper functioning of all systems, traction control and track. But it was worth it. I also had the forum Volvo fans who often densely selected Nokia as the winter tire carrier - many thanks to them. Big stick in the snow, no problem, as large wet weather with dry not even mentioned. Maybe they should be a little quieter, but it seems that in the winter, it will be difficult, after all the specifics of this time of year, but certainly with a pure heart can not recommend them. This year the winter was so good, so they could not develop wings, but a couple of seasons before them. In general, changing tires every 5-6 years at a moderate driving style tread wear about 70% (I move in as planned, but did not squeak at intersections). In the current set is less than 3500 km if the wear is almost invisible. I recommend undecided :) ps next winter tires will also Nokia. (Except if the company disappears). Read more Collapse

These tires are always amazing on snow and ice, I have not had better. But unlike the version of it a few years ago, they did not feel as safe on dry / wet roads as they did. Nokian say they have made changes to the design to improve the rolling resistance (for example, remove the protective rim bead), but the disadvantage of what appears to be the response of the management are not so accurate and the car does not feel so safe driving. They are great if you live in a place where there is snow and ice all winter, but not so good for mixed conditions like we have in the North of the UK. Read more Collapse

Tires excel in winter conditions. I had the opportunity to compare with Michelin Alpin A4 tires with the same dimensions and the same car model. Nokia grocery stores on your head in the snow. Where would catch on michelinach esp on nokianach not even move. Tires I used mainly on the road 70% highway, 40% express other roads roads. The only thing I pay attention to the size, but it was my choice. Today, I would choose the size of 215 with a better grip of the car on the highway at high speeds and high winds. I recommend with a clear conscience donuts Nokian Read more Collapse

Really great tires, I had some problems but I'm sure the Finns know how to make good winter tires. In winter, perfect, perfectly eliminate inequalities while maintaining good stability at higher speeds 160 km / h (excluding summer, but really good). At higher temperatures do not wear too quickly and are silent. It was difficult to distinguish as you ride winter tyres when it comes to noise. Tires really cool to recommend. Previously, I had ContiWinterContact TS830 and admit that this is the same class and even better in some respects. 205/50/17 tires Read more Collapse

J 'bought Nokian WR A3 for my opel, a day after I discovered the qualities of the product. The snow fell kia has paralyzed traffic on the roads and drivers that have not changed in time of winter tires. When they drove at a speed of 30-40 km / h, me on the icy snow I drove with speed 70-80 km / h and I felt confident and secure with the Nokian WR A3 . The car went where I wanted, not just where she wanted .... In addition, there was no problem entering a steep driveway, which was partially frozen. I definately recommend these tires! Very good tire for dry and wet weather. A bit noisy and difficult (XL). In kopnym snow copes well but it happened to me once buried onsite parking nieodśnieżonym say that I could not leave (behind self drive). I do not know if I would be able to leave with different types of tires. Once I had the chance to go right after the heavy snowfall and electronics all the time had a lot of work, but the car is moving forward. I think the same could apply to other winter tires. This charming car with rear wheel drive. So I run a very good tire. Read more Collapse

Poorly chosen tire in the car (factory set - I had no choice). Superb used in 50% of highways require tires with a speed rating higher than 210. The tire of this index tends to deform dramatic and "lose" the balance for such a heavy car. The experience of other users for comfort, handling, maneuverability is true. Tires are generally OK but for me 2-3 one thousand kilometers and vulcanization. Car falls into a tremor becomes niekierowalne like. The changes to the index GY about 240 km and the highest possible capacity. Read more Collapse

I drive about 1,000 miles a week, most of the time the road rather aggressive, but without exaggeration. forces the car - 250 km turbobenzyna 4x4. Tire quiet, well, holding on to the road, this year the winter was hard, but I had the opportunity to ride in the snow and ice - great snow, ice - like all tires - not is not crazy. I just changed Continental 235/50 r18 were identical in size winter and winter are stronger than Nokia. Although made 19 thousand miles this season, I have not noticed much tire wear. I highly recommend. Read more Collapse

Used 3 years, combined with the Audi Quattro system difficult to tell the difference between summer driving at legal speeds. Total confidence in wet, slush and snow. Even around 500 hp with little rotation of the wheel caused less. Much cheaper than (large summer tires) makes economic sense as well as provide increased security. Surprised to ride much better than summer tires lower profile, but this may be due to the maximum recommended pressure. I definitely recommend it, but might try something different next time curiosity. Read more Collapse

The same type of tires in the Mercedes W201 E 2.0 E and a new set of Opel Astra H, which is a ride on a daily basis. As the return path and the front tires are listed on the medal, except maybe rides mounted on them rather "hard". In contrast, adhesion to the sensational snow, inhibition of some, and drove up the hill in the snow is not a problem. Cars made firmly and sense of security. Express an opinion on the basis of previous experience (Mercedes W210 - Bridgestone, Good Year, Nokian). I recommend and greet. Read more Collapse
