Mazda 3

The Mazda 3 is a compact mid-range car produced by the Japanese automaker Mazda. Introduced in 2003, the first-generation Mazda 3 replaced the discontinued Mazda 323. Built on the global C1 platform—shared with the Ford Focus and Volvo S40—the Mazda 3 was offered in both saloon and hatchback body styles. Its design drew heavy inspiration from the MX-Sportif concept car, featuring a sleek silhouette, sharp bonnet creases, and aggressive, slanted headlights that extended into the fenders for a sportier appearance. The front suspension utilized reliable MacPherson struts reinforced with a transverse stabilizer bar, while the rear featured Ford’s multi-link E-Link system. This setup allowed for improved handling without compromising luggage space, thanks to the strategic placement of springs and shock absorbers. In 2007, the Mazda 3 received a facelift that included subtle updates to the front fascia and interior. Projector lens headlights were added, the body structure was reinforced for increased rigidity, and the suspension was retuned to enhance steering response and reduce understeer. The second-generation Mazda 3 debuted in 2009, built on Mazda’s new BK platform. It featured a completely redesigned exterior and interior, offering more space and a more modern look. A high-performance MPS (Mazda Performance Series) version was also introduced, powered by a 2.3-litre turbocharged engine producing 267 hp.

The factory tyre sizes for the Mazda 3 are: 195/65 R15, 205/50 R17, and 215/45 R18.
Optionally, 205/55 R16 tyres can also be fitted.
