    Opinion from outside IE

Opinion after approximately 30,000 kilometres in the summer season, tyres replaced with winter ones about a week ago. First and foremost, the tyre is ultra-quiet. 68db does the job. During installation, the balance was almost perfect on each tyre. From the start, there was no wobbling or vibration. As for the driving itself, the car is unbeatable on dry surfaces. Cornering is confident. Very high level of grip. Unfortunately, the problem starts on wet surfaces. Namely, the tyre's ability to disperse water - I experienced aquaplaning at 130 km/h on the motorway during heavy rain. I consider such tyre behaviour unacceptable. Interestingly, as long as the amount of water is small, the grip is excellent and cornering on wet roads is a pleasure. The problem clearly concerns the low water drainage capacity. Unfortunately, I will not be buying this model again. However, the overall very good impression of this brand encourages me to purchase a higher model, which may perform better in terms of water drainage. In addition, I must give it full marks for comfort. Quiet, no vibrations, good comfort on uneven surfaces. Low tyre wear, satisfactory durability. I do not spare my tyres, I drive very dynamically. Opinion from outside IE

I purchased Pirelli Powergy 225/55R18 98 V tyres, guided by the fact that they are premium tyres and by reviews on oponeo.pl. I couldn't have been more wrong! After fitting the tyres, the car had noticeable vibrations when driving at around 100 km/h on the S1 expressway. After another visit to the tyre service, the wheels were well balanced, the front tyres were swapped with the rear ones, and now, when driving calmly at around 50 km/h, the car bounces as if there were potholes in the road all the time. Another visit to the service centre did not help, the man simply stated that the tyres were not perfectly round. I filed a complaint about the tyres, and the result was: 1 tyre - complaint accepted, 3 tyres - complaint rejected. To make matters worse, the tyres in the worst condition, those on the rear axle, were deemed to be good and returned to me, while the tyre on the front axle, which was in relatively good condition, was replaced. So, to sum up, I do not recommend Pirelli tyres! Avoid them like the plague! Read more Collapse

Very good tyres, particularly positive impression of the quiet ride, good '' hold '' in corners. The only reservation I have is about the depth of the tread, but all manufacturers have this problem, unfortunately the accountants rule in the companies. I recommend this model of tyre and wish you a pleasant and safe ride. Read more Collapse

Product description

Pirelli Powergy

Pirelli Powergy is a summer tyre, offered by a premium class manufacturer for the summer season. The model is designed for passenger cars and SUVs. The tyres offer drivers a high level of safety, comfort while driving and a long service life.

The compound with polymers is a guarantee of increased performance on dry and wet surfaces. The centre ribs and special cuts on the tread in the shape of shark fins ensure optimal stiffness and stability. Also, the tyre is not loud, which significantly affects comfort while traveling.

Better water drainage when driving on wet surfaces is made possible by the use of wide centre grooves and a consistent shoulder notch pattern. Moreover, the risk of aquaplaning is minimised, so you can feel safe even on rainy days when road conditions are not favourable.
