Pirelli Scorpion is a premium summer tyre in the UHP segment developed for heavier cars with a large power-deck - such as modern SUVs. It reliably performs for long-distance touring, providing sufficient stability for comfortable travel.
The asymmetric tread of the tyre conceals several interesting solutions for safety and driving precision:
A sequence of contoured notches on the tread shoulders is primarily responsible for reducing braking distances on surfaces encountered during the summer season. In addition, their revised geometry reduces tyre noise, which has a significant impact on the acoustic comfort inside the cabin.
The optimised arrangement of blocks in the central zone of the tyre promotes directional stability for more precise manoeuvring. In addition, the flattened and approximated blocks help to reduce the generated noise.
A newly developed inner edge design reduces rubber film wear at high temperatures, so tyres perform much longer, offering greater mileage.
The Pirelli Scorpion features, in selected sizes, the innovative SEAL Inside system, a tyre construction that allows you to continue driving even after a puncture. It prevents pressure loss in up to 85% of cases.
Pirelli is one of the oldest brands in the tyre industry, with a rich history dating back to 1872. Since then, the manufacturer's products have been regularly developed to always deliver only the highest quality, inextricably associated with the premium class.
