Zeetex HP1000 255/35 R20 97 Y XL, ZR

I was looking for the first new set of summer tyres for my car. I have looked through a lot of tyres (new, old). Initially, as usual, I had to buy used tyres in good condition. Until I found these tyres. I was tempted by the low price and good feedback from users. Honestly, I had concerns about the quality and durability of these tyres. I do not drive much in the season, most my routes are trips to the sea, lakes, shopping, commuting. Exceptionally, I had 2 major trips: the Netherlands (Rotterdam, Amsterdam), and more recently Germany (Hamburg, Rügen). In none of these longer journeys I had worries about how the tyres would work. They are fantastic. Average combustion below 6l (loaded car). Silence and comfort. And above all, security. Zeetex tyres perform very well both on the highway (at speeds of up to 140 mph) and on bumpy roads. At this price there is no better option. Not to be groundless - after a positive experience with summer Zeetex tyres, yesterday I ordered a set for the winter - Zeetex Ice-Plus S100 in the size 205/55R16. So yes, Zeetex tested on Laguna II. I was very afraid of car noise and traction above 90 mph. And so I was looking for tyres for 17" rims, 225/45. Used, branded - any, but in good condition. Tyres cost a minimum of 40 to 60 EUR per item (on deferent websites)... logically thinking I called my friends and specialists and I ask how bad experiences they have with Chinese tyres, mentioning, among others, the Zeetex brand. It turns out that they do not have bad experiences! So I ordered 4 pcs of 225/45R17 tyres and I am very happy. First of all, they are NEW AND ON GUARANTEE! Secondly, driving driving on A1 to the Czech Republic all the time 85mph, full driving culture and full control of the track. The route, which my dad does, driving a little slower in 3 hours I drove in 2 hours (driving 100% by law)! Thirdly, going back - storm with hail (May day, Thursday, section from Czech Republic to Częstochowa in Poland), "flood", everyone practically stood in place because it was impossible to go, and Zeetex, a lot slower, but full driving culture and full control over the car . On dry: - they do well, although they quickly squeeze in fast corners - Acceleration in a straight line – they stick very well to the ground and it's not so easy to "sweep" in normal but also dynamic starting (i.e. without starting from 6k turns, simple fast starting) - Acceleration in the corner is worse, they quickly start to squeak and after a while they lose their grip with stronger pressure - Breaking so-so, there is no tragedy, but the abs switches on quite quickly. Now on wet: - Fear to drive, unless you’re using them in a ghost city ;) - Acceleration slightly more dynamic ends with almost immediate spinning of the wheels with the TC off or with a very aggressive reaction. Immediate silting and disco on the board. It's all in a straight line, light curve or turn at the intersection and we are standing sideways - Breaking is a tragedy. Even light breaking ends with quick abs reaction and I admit that I feel insecure when I need to brake hard on wet. A very uncomfortable feeling. After a full season and 9k miles I noticed that: after purchase there was a little more tread, about 7mm, after the season there is about 6mm on a rear axle in a car with a small engine. I think even after two seasons I will have to say goodbye to them. Tyre is quite calm, supposedly said 67dB, but my Michelin winter tyres that have a 70dB are probably even quieter at higher speeds. I have not measured it in laboratory conditions, but this is my own feeling. And this is the main priority for me in the car. – The car in August works very steady by going a little faster in corners – I haven’t had any surprises in the rain, etc. - as well as the main square when they were new. But the damage on the tyre is visible after 3 seasons. Mainly on the rear axle of the car the tyres have slight traces of disappeared tread. Early aging. I would like to add that the second set of my (rear) tyres from another manufacturer I have already 4 seasons and I still have 5.5-6mm. And at the current price I already bought them again. Driver works as any to appreciate the tyre in terms of price and quality. And taking into account that Zeetex HP1000 is a good enough tyre. It is known to replace with them the new Toyo or Federal and then they look bad, but cost is several times less and the most interesting is that driving on them is quite smooth so this is a question for consideration. Work fast enough and smartly, I like fast corners :) My car is over 200 horsepower BMW on a full sport chassis, before I had the old Yokohamas and Dunlop and driving on new Zeetex is for me better. If you are looking for cheap tyres and you wonder between used tyres and new cheap tyres, it’s worth trying the Zeetex. Although I managed to almost buy the used Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 245/40/18 quite cheap, to the point my funds could be enough for 225/40/18 as well this year, I would definitely choose the new tyres.
