I rode with winter tires Falken HS 439 through the winter and in diferent conditions (cities, mountains, etc.) I am very happy, I have no problem with these tires. The only concern is the ice but you can do anything with because for the ice crompons are the only solution. On dry ground, snow and slush their behavior is exemplary. In the mountains it is not necessary to use chains. Other drivers looked at me with astonishment! During the winter I have done about 10,000 km and I see no signs of significant wear. I bought 2 tires Falken HS 439 just to try it and I can say now I still buy you two to complete my game :) The first attack of winter in the mountains can sometimes surprise and it is quite common so I 'm glad all the more that I chose just these tires there. They do not slip at all compared to Fulda tires I had to start at the back of my car. I recommend these tires to anyone who enjoys the comfort and security when driving. And of course do not like to spend too much money! It is worth to buy the Falken HS 439 tires because they great. I drive a Peugeot 107. I am very happy with these tires. In this price segment - a great tire! My observations are rather moderate because I operated for a short time. The last thing: I am a former pilot. I did a lot of miles with cars and different tires, so I can compare the equipment I've used so far, for my second car I bought Nokian tires and I think the Falken tires HS 439 - bcp less expensive, are really good.
