I had the opportunity to try them in the Italian Alps during the abundant snowfall. Tires are paid very well and there was no need to wear chains.

Very good tyre. Great performance in snow, you can easily control drifts and there are no problems with braking. Michelin Alpin 5 has fantastic wet grip, but I cannot tell much about dry conditions, because I do not use winter tyres on dry tarmac. After 1500 miles the treadwear is minor and the tread itself is in good condition. If after 2-3 years the tyre will be as good as it is now I will buy it once again or any other Michelin.
