Everyone around was telling me to use directional tyres for winter, so i've tried and don't regret it. As always I had trouble traversing snow and ice, then with uniroyals 77 there was no problem at all during this winter. First winter whaen i didn't bother getting the shovel from the cellar. Good on the wet and no issues on warm and dry days. Do not be afraid of new tread shape, patterns designed by computer are not bad at all, and yet the price that I bought these tyres for are fabulous. I am writing this even though, quite ironically i had a flat tyre - arrowhead shaped piece of metal punctured one of the tyres after 5 miles.
