The Toyota GT86 made its debut in 2012 as a Japanese sports coupé, continuing Toyota’s legacy of performance-oriented models. Developed in collaboration with Subaru, it shares its platform and many components with the Subaru BRZ, resulting in nearly identical styling and technical specifications. The GT86 has seen two generations: the first produced from 2012 to 2016, and the second—rebranded as the GR86—launched in 2021 and still in production today. This model is available exclusively as a two-door, rear-wheel-drive coupé, delivering exceptional handling and a dynamic driving experience. It comes with either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission. The first generation is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 200 BHP, while the second generation features a larger 2.4-litre engine with approximately 235 BHP. The GT86 has also made its mark in motorsport, earning numerous accolades.
