Large donuts like 215/50R17 are usually expensive. Since now I preferred well-known brands, as I was confident ‘bout them. For summer I had Uniroyal Rainsport 2, for winter Continental Winter Contact’s. Their prices were big, yeah, but I never had to doubt wheter I’m safe in my car or not. After a long search I stumbled upon the brand I didn’t know, which are Nankang NS 2. I won’t lie, a massive influence on my choice was my contact with the guy who’s into motorsport, and often rac-es internationally. He told me they were great, and positively seen in the world of motorsport. In Scandinavia, Nankang is told to be a great success, but even in Australia and the United Kingdom the positive rumors about ‘em start to spread. I’d like to add that this manufacturer has been around for decades, so they are definitely experienced. To sum up, I am happy with them as I don’t see a point in paying more than 90 quid per tyre, especially when it does match with accepted standards. I highly recommend them! Read more Collapse

I bought Nankang NS 2 195/45R15 for my Ibiza 1.9 TDi 90HP (well, ~130hp). I am very happy with these tyres. I wanted to try something cheaper and less known than the top brands. Those tyres manage with my driving style, which is quite aggressive and tense. I tend to step on it on curves too, and I am impresset with those Nankang’s. I’m talking about summer conditions, of course, when the asphalt is hot. As for other seasons I don’t know. I’ll have to test them early spring or late fall. However, when the asphalt is covered in water the steer-ing is a bit harder. Sometimes it’s just crazy. But then again, I tend to understeer, but it’s just cause I like to play with cars. That’s just my nature, and even top brands cannot manage it. All in all I highly recommend those tyres, as they look good and wear out slowly. Riding steady, they can last about 7-8 seasons. In my case it’s more like 4-5 seasons, though. I’d recommend to get Nankang NS 2 on all of your wheels. Read more Collapse

I bought those tyres, because I heard lots of positive comments on them from my friends. They were saying these tyres are amazing. It caught my attention, since they are pretty cheap. I thought that it’s some Chinese or Taiwanese rubbish. I was wrong. I didn’t follow my friends’ opinions blind-ly, I read a little about the company and Nankang NS 2 in particular and I found out they were right all along! Those tyres are worth their price and their quality is great. Currently I have them fitted on BBS wheels and sports suspension. It looks amazing. I have this tyre model for the third season now. Previously I had some Continentals and Pirellies. It is kind of pointless to compare Nankangs to their predecessors as they were premium brands and quality was much higher. Of course, I was prepared for it and I am not surprised at all. I decided for Nankangs because of the price, almost half cheaper. I would say that I am satisfied with the quality for this kind of money. Everything is alright despite the fact that after some mileage they start to be really noisy. Just to conclude briefly - if someone wants to save some money and can accept that the noise level will increase after some time it is pretty good choice to buy Nankangs in my opinion. Tyres fitted on the vehicle used as a taxi so they need to do the job well. I have to say that I am really satisfied. Great price which is important factor for me. On dry road it is impossible to lose control of the car. Cornering, hard braking, driving with some higher speed - fantastic. There are just two things which could be slightly better. Wet grip is first of them. It should be said that speed needs to be lower but it is exactly the same for every other tyre model. The second one is driving comfort. Excellent tyres with a lovely design and a kind of sporty edge to them. They drive perfectly on dry roads. The ride is smooth because of the new mixture that the manufacturer claims to have used. They ensure a great grip, also in wet conditions, even with 50% of tyre wear! When they are worn more, you should remain a bit cautious. It’s normal I think, since summer tyres are not designed for wet, muddy or snowy roads. Some time ago, I covered about 200km on icy road with Nankang NS 2. I was driving 80kph on 4th gear, but managed to get home safely without using snow chains or win-ter tyres. Nankang NS 2 guarantee a fair grip, and I would highly recommend them. Read more Collapse

Not sure if I can recommend for anyone. It seems that especially wet grip could be better and I think that it is important for not experienced drivers. It happened to me that I lost a bit of control of the vehicle on the wet asphalt during cornering. Nothing really big and scary but you need to know how to handle it. Of course, it can happen with every tyre but I had impression that some premium brand would not act this way in this particular situation. Dry grp is alright. Fuel efficiency as well, ok. It is quite hard to evaluate this tyre model. Fantastic dry grip and even better on wet asphalt but the thing is that it is true only for the first 20k miles roughly. After that is gets lower aquaplaning resistance and can be a bit too noisy for some drivers in my opinion. The funny story is that I was driving for some longer time with a small nail in the tread without losing the pressure. It was discovered by a mechanic finally. So, durability seems to be more than fine though. Price is really attractive and if someone does not care about the noise or aquaplaning it is the right product. Read more Collapse

I decided to buy Nankang set because of my friend who told me that they are great. I was not really sure because of the price and the fact that it is manufactured in Asia though. However, I do not regret at all. I am satisfied and happy with them. Some money saved which is nice and still I tyres which are more than enough for my needs. Very good tire. Although I have done 1000 km on them that I can tell you what I observed. I bought a size 235/45/17. I'm pretty demanding. Previously, I had Toyo and Dunlop. I would add that the train tires Nankang 280 euros while listening to the brand they should have spent twice as much. I must honestly admit that these tires do not differ from those of upscale. I bought these tires to Leon 1.8 T 180 PS - excellent sensational. Driven 3500 km, both in terms of sun - the dry and the wet during a great flood. With a clear conscience I can recommend these tires. Previously mounted on Pirelli P7000 and Continentalach Conti Sport. Combustion decreased from Pirelli P7000. Until now, I had founded tires size 165/70 R14, and some time ago, I decided to invest in a good quality wheels and new tires instead of second hand brand of an unknown source. I have these tires for 3 years and I do not know where all these opinions from other drivers. I've done a lot of miles on these tires and I'd say they satisfactory. The appearance is ok :) but in the wet the driver must be careful. A little rain and ABS starts non-stop. They have the M + S - all year :) but with the first snowfall it is best to change tires for winter ones. The great thing is that this tire wears slowly and has a nice appearance. Read more Collapse

Great tires in dry conditions, they hold up well in the corners. The ABS is activated only in extremal situatins :) The braking satisfactory wet, hydroplaning does not appear :) but you still m ^ slow me down and be careful. They are quiet and comfortable, even in size 35R19, are minimal signs of wear. I think I still will ride two seasons saw my driving style. I bought used tires from a friend. At first I was skeptical, but after a few miles I was mega happy! Value for very good price. I have a car with low power and for me they are superb. They have never disappointed me. But after three seasons they were completely worn out, I prefer qcheter new Nankang they are definitely quieter than DUNLOP SPORT 2000 Fulda EXCELERRO. They do not squeak at startup.
