    Opinion from outside IE

Highly recommendable. Previously I used the Michelin Energy Saver and immediately noticed that Continental ContiEcoContact 5 are much quieter, hardly audible. They hold on the road like a tree. When I drive roughly on the same route and go in the same turn I feel much more comfortable and safer with the continental tyres. Overcoming the high speed corners doesn’t cause the feeling of falling from the track at any time. It’s difficult to speak about the elimination of inequalities. I was shocked because I changed a few weeks ago and I usually try to keep away from holes and bumps. I don’t judge the appearance of the tyre because it’s like evaluating the appearance of the battery. I drive peacefully most of the time, within the limits of 55mpr – 80mpr with active cruise control, and with a constant speed. I did not have the ability to measure the actual combustion but looking at the results of the burn on the road, it is less than about 0.5 l - 0.8 l compared to Michelin. I think these tyres are ideal for my driving style and I am very happy with them. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I’ve been driving on the Continential ContiEcoContact 5 tyres over 9500 miles, where the district of the city is more than 90% of that. This tyre is highly recommended because of its friction and smoothness. To me It seems that the benefit can be seen. The high temperature of the asphalt may cause a slight tendency to slip when braking or cornering, but the tyre immediately recovers its benefits. When driving on wet, tyres drains well and give a sense of stability. I gave a rating of 5 for driving on surfaces (comparaison: the Michelin Kami get a little worse). When driving on the highway on dry roads (approximately 100mph), the Continential ContiEcoContact 5 tyres are quiet and they stick very well to the road, which gives a sense of security. If I had to choose again, I would choose these tyres without any hesitation. Read more Collapse

    Opinion from outside IE

I bought the Continential ContiEcoContact 5 tyres. I first tested the tire rolling resistance, which ensures a very good control of the car on a wet and a high driving comfort. It performs well on our potholed roads. One of the few models of tyres in which the rolling resistance is much smaller than in random tyres. The combustion in any situation no longer depends on driving style and traffic. The appearance is rather normal, but driving on them is great. I think that the Chinese pseudo tyres with an aggressive tread pattern are cheap, but they offer less security than the old, worn branded tyres. This tyre is great. Read more Collapse

For me the driving on the Continental ContiEcoContact 5 tyres is great. After driving about 20000 miles I can confirm that in each situation this tyre is very predictable. After driving this distance the treadwear for the front tyre was 2mm, and 1mm for the rear tyre. I can’t judge based on this because I have no reference point, so I don’t know if this is a lot. These summer tyres are the first tyres I’ve ever bought. In general, I wanted to have use out of these tyres as much as possible and I think this is a good result. They behave well in the wet surfaces. I think I can safely recommend these tires. Read more Collapse

The Continental ContiEcoContact 5 tyres are comfortable. These combine low rolling resistance with adequate traction and short braking. I can’t believe it, but these tyres actually combines low rolling resistance with exemplary behaviour on dry and wet roads. Compared to the previous set of summer tyres which is also a premium brand (original equipment) the Continental ContiEcoContact 5 tyres are also very good in their performance on dry, and what is even more important to me, on the wet surfaces. They are also more comfortable and quiet. To summarize: the perfect choice for a reasonable price! Read more Collapse

Continental ContiEcoContact 5 is the flagship engineering product of Continental. The designers managed to make a breakthrough in terms of technology and design in all the elements that compose the tyres. The innovative components include the carcass, compound, tyre contour and tread pattern. The company used an innovative compound which helps to reduce rolling resistance and shorten the braking distance on wet surfaces. The new tyre contour considerably increases mileage and the innovative tread pattern significantly improves the braking efficiency in tough weather conditions.
