Product description
Dunlop Winter Sport 5 205/55 R16 91 H
The presented tyre is marked with 3PMSF symbol (Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake). It means that the tyre meets the EU requirements for winter tyres. The symbol is awarded after thorough tests of a tyre model in terms of snow grip.
Technical description: When designing the Dunlop Winter Sport 5, the manufacturer focused on including the best elements of its predecessor, the Dunlop Winter Sport 4D. The model offers 10-13% better performance specifications than its excellent predecessor.
Which performance specifications have been improved? Traction on snow and ice, control and grip on all wet winter surfaces and a reduction in fuel consumption. All of these improvements are thanks to the latest technology used and the years of experience of Dunlop and the entire Goodyear group.
Excellent driveability and shorter braking distances in even the most difficult winter conditions? This is precisely what the Dunlop Winter Sport 5 aims to offer. Tests carried out by Dunlop before launching the tyre confirmed that they had in fact succeeded in this aim and all thanks to the tyre's innovative asymmetric tread pattern with additional blocks. This unique tread pattern, combined with the latest generation material used, ensures excellent grip.
The tyre disperses water and slush exceptionally well thanks to deeper grooves all over the surface of the Dunlop Winter Sport 5, making the tyre highly resistant to aquaplaning (skidding on wet surfaces).
The numerous curved blades all over the tyre bite into the surface, which also improves grip. What does this mean for you? Problem-free acceleration, braking and climbing uphill on slippery surfaces.
Dunlop has also made sure that the Dunlop Winter Sport 5 reduces your car's fuel consumption.
The tyre is lighter than its predecessor and other sporty tyres available on the market. This means that it not only uses less fuel, but also has a positive impact on the environment.
Information about the manufacturer: Dunlop started marketing tyres in 1888 in Ireland when John Boyd Dunlop developed the pneumatic tyre.
