I have had two sets of these tyres. Neither has lasted more than 12,000 miles (19, 200km) on the front axle. I drive in town and on motorways, so they don't meet abnormal challenges. Since buying the tyres I am reviewing, I have had to change again and have moved away from these tyres. They preform well in other respects but not so well that their appalling economy can be overlooked.

Michelin Pilot Super Sports are simply the best tyres I ever put on my M3, the others being Continentals (useless), Bridgestone Potenza (pretty good) The Michelle Super Sports are a step up in grip, wear & noise. The M3 has now sadly gone but my RS4 will be getting a set of Super Sports when the current Michelin Pilots get replaced.

While setting up my Peugeot 508, I took a chance and I had mounted the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. As there is 163 horspower , I'm not able to verify the limit of adhesion from the start and the accelerate - the engine does not keep up with these tyres. Therefore, I can not comment about braking. In that case I think it's best to keep an eye on everyone and wear a seatbelt. Regarding the grip during cornering – that's a lot of fun! Not only the limits of adhesion are moved very far, it is when they are exceeded, there is no nervousness. The driving is extremely delicate and easily noticeable skating warns that the continuation will not be possible. Note that I'm using the 18-inch tyres and here a surprise - the comfort of elimination of inequality is still very decent. For me, it is a quiet tyre and the tyre wear not yet in sight. I can't wait for spring tyre change!

The best tyre I've ridden on, it performs very well in basically all conditions. A lot of stiffness in the side of the tyre but at the same time provides pretty good comfort. Compared to my previous Bridgestones it's a completely different level of ride.

The tyres have incredible grip for a road tyre, and this is true in both the dry and wet. On top of this, tyre wear is moderate and comfort is quite good. The only minor minus for being a little too noisy (I found the Conti in a similar size a little quieter).

Very good adhesion. Tuning the engine - about 300hp and yet it is difficult to break the hold. Said big bend.

Much better than other brands used. Other high-end tires suffered from lack of grip and feel or even failures. So far, perfect and on my second set.

Simply the best tires I've ever had on any car I've owned. I've put the Michelin Pilot Super Sport on the BMW M5 and they have increased grip over the Continentials that came on the car. Frankly well beyond my expectations. This tyre isn't cheap as you probably noticed, but it's worth it. I felt compelled to buy them because they are really good. I can not comment on longevity as I have had them just for a few thousands of miles, but seem to be great and frankly I do not care if they'll use up earlier than the previous model as increase in adhesion is worth the money. I'm living in the UK so I drive a lot on wet roads. I was struggling a lot with the previous tyre, With these fitted to my car it's a complete game changer and I'm very impressed with them.
