235/60 R16 Tyres

235/60 R16 tyres are produced with passenger cars and 4x4s in mind. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is provided in a form of a string of numbers. The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres, in this case 235 mm. After the slash sign follows percentage ratio of the tyre's height to its tread width. In the case of the 235/60 R16 tyre it is 60% out of 235 mm. The number 16 in the 235/60 R16 tyre constitutes the diameter of the wheel rim (provided in inches) on which the tyre should be installed. The letter "R" denotes the tyre's radial construction.
