165/55 R15 tyres are designed for dynamic family passenger cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall. It is provided with the help of a string of numbers, e.g. 165/55 R15 (the "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction). The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres (here 165 mm). The second number is the tyre's profile height which constitutes 55% of its tread width (55% out of 165 mm).
