Riken is a Japanese brand founded in 1917. The company manufactures economy class tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, light commercial vehicles and trucks. The Riken brand has emerged in the awareness of customers worldwide, exporting tyres to foreign markets. In 1997, the company was acquired by Michelin, and has been owned by them ever since.

The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall where it is provided in a form of a string of numbers (the "R" in the tyre's size denotes its radial construction).
