Riken is a Japanese brand founded in 1917. The company manufactures economy class tyres for passenger cars, SUVs, light commercial vehicles and trucks. The Riken brand has emerged in the awareness of customers worldwide, exporting tyres to foreign markets. In 1997, the company was acquired by Michelin, and has been owned by them ever since.

175/70 R14 Tyres

175/70 R14 tyres are produced with passenger cars and delivery vehicles in mind. The size of the tyre comes in a form of a string of numbers and a letter which informs about the type of the tyre's construction ('R" stands for radial). The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre and it is provided in millimetres. In the case of the 175/70 R14 tyre it equals 175 mm. The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width. In this case it is 70% out of the 175 mm of tread width.
