Tigar is a brand from Serbia. The company dates back to 1935, when it was associated with the local shoe market. Only in 1959, they began to produce car tyres. Tigar works with the French company, Michelin. As a result, they have gained access to state-of-the-art technology, which has affected its growing presence on the market. Tigar manufactures tyres for passenger cars, vans, trucks and agricultural vehicles.

215/55 R17 Tyres

215/55 R17 tyres are designed for 4x4s and executive cars. The size of the tyre can be seen on its sidewall in a form of a string of signs. The first number informs about the tread width of the 215/55 R17 tyre and it is provided in millimetres. The second number equals the tyre profile's height and its percentage ratio to the tyre's tread width. In this case it is 55% out of the 215 mm of tread width. The "R" in the tyre's size denotes its type of construction, in this case radial. The number 17 constitutes the diameter of the wheel rim (provided in inches) on which the tyre should be installed.
