Hyundai Tucson

The Hyundai Tucson is a compact SUV produced by the South Korean manufacturer Hyundai. In the European market, it was temporarily replaced by the ix35, which represents the second generation of the Tucson in Korea. Built on the platform of the Hyundai Elantra, the Tucson shares its underpinnings with the second-generation Kia Sportage. It was Hyundai’s strategic response to the growing demand for sport utility vehicles (SUVs).

Key competitors of the Hyundai Tucson include the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Nissan X-Trail, and Kia Sportage. The Tucson features a distinctive silhouette reminiscent of the larger Hyundai Santa Fe. Its sleek body lines are complemented by bold side panels and pronounced wheel arches, giving it a dynamic and robust appearance. A wider wheelbase contributes to a spacious interior, offering ample legroom and comfort for long journeys. The seats are ergonomically designed, and most controls are intuitively placed for ease of use.

The boot offers a capacity of 325 litres, which can be expanded to 805 litres by folding down the rear seats. Additionally, the front passenger seat can be folded flat to accommodate longer items, enhancing the vehicle’s practicality.

Under the hood, the Hyundai Tucson is available with a range of engines, including 2.0-litre Beta II petrol engines and a more powerful 2.7-litre Delta V6. The diesel option includes a 2.0-litre CRDi engine, delivering between 113 and 150 hp. The suspension system strikes a good balance between ride comfort and handling stability, making it suitable for both city driving and longer trips.

The factory tyre size for the Hyundai Tucson is 215/65 R16.

Optional tyre sizes include 225/55 R17, 235/45 R18, and 235/60 R16.

How to Reset the Tyre Pressure Sensor on a Hyundai Tucson
