Mercedes E-Class

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a premium E-segment passenger car, positioned in the upper-middle class category. In continuous production since 1993, the E-Class has become one of the most iconic models in the Mercedes-Benz lineup. Over the years, four key generations have been introduced: the W124 (third generation, launched in July 1993), W210, W211, and W212. It's worth noting that the E-Class lineage also includes upper-middle segment models produced before 1993 under different naming conventions.

Among the most popular versions is the Mercedes-Benz W210, known for its distinctive design and aerodynamic body with a drag coefficient of just 0.27. Compared to its predecessor, the W210 is 50 mm longer and 10 mm wider, offering improved interior space and road presence. It was available in three trim levels: Classic, Elegance, and Avantgarde, with a high-performance AMG variant also offered. Initially dominated by petrol engines, the lineup expanded in 1997 with the introduction of the E 300 Turbodiesel, borrowed from the S-Class (W140), making it the fastest mid-range diesel passenger car of its time.

In 2002, Mercedes-Benz launched the W211 generation, which quickly became one of the brand’s best-selling models. Positioned as a luxury mid-size sedan, the W211 featured advanced technologies derived from the flagship S-Class, enhancing both safety and driving comfort. The engine lineup was completely revamped, making the W211 a strong competitor to the Audi A6 and BMW 5 Series.

The W212 generation debuted at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show, offering a more dynamic design and improved performance. Available in four body styles—saloon, estate, coupé, and convertible—the W212 catered to a wide range of customer preferences. In addition to powerful petrol and diesel engines, the lineup included an eco-friendly variant equipped with a factory-installed compressed natural gas (CNG) system, reflecting Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

Factory tyre sizes for the Mercedes E-Class (depending on the model and trim) include: 195/65 R15, 225/55 R16, 245/45 R17, and 265/35 R18.
Optional tyre sizes include: 185/65 R15, 205/65 R15, 255/40 R17, and 275/30 R19.
