Nankang AS-2+

I have driven one season on the Nankang AS2+. I have a comparison to the earlier Uniroyal and cheaper Chinese ones (albeit Cat A for rain) in this and the other car. This tyre is very good, performs in the dry and in the wet very well. It doesn't buckle on quick starts, it locks up late on emergency braking in the wet (although no miracles, it's similar to the RainSports), on dry braking-excellent, the first hazard lights come on before the tyre locks up on the wheels, so better than the car manufacturer envisaged. First impression was - aa Nankangs, but no joke pretty impressed. I am a guy whos driving style pissing off everyone, bad for them:) anyways, with my driving style I was always buying good brand good rating tyres. But this time I seen these with A rating on wet. When I tried the tyre 4 years ago, I was laughed at by my colleagues. Today I have good tyres for little money that I can only recommend. Very good value for money. Very good grip on dry and wet roads. Superbly balanced, no vibration or beating. When fitting them to the rim, the tyre specialist said they were quite stiff - maybe because I bought the reinforced version as far as I remember. I would recommend the tyres, my only complaint is that at 80-90kph they are a little noisy, but this is nothing I didn't know when I bought them, it doesn't bother me in everyday use, they also work well in the rain, I would recommend them. Read more Collapse

I have been buying nankangs for many years. We stretch the tyres quite a bit and they generally don't have an easy time because there is a lot of heat. They really do perform superbly. Read more Collapse
