Vredestein Van tyres

If tyres were ranked according to appearance, Vredestein would certainly take first place. Models from this premium brand are designed in collaboration with Giorgetto Giugiaro, who won the main prize in the 1999 competition to decide who was the best car designer of the 20th century. Vredestein tyre treads, consequently, are extremely dynamic and stylish.

In addition to their attractive design, Vredestein tyres demonstrate excellent performance parameters. Proof of this can be found in their top positions in ADAC tests obtained by the popular Sportrac 5 model.

The Vredestein product line includes summer tyres, winter tyres and all-season tyres for passenger cars, vans, lorries, cars with 4-wheel drive and bicycles. Vredestein is one of few manufacturers to constantly produce new tyres for retro cars.

Interesting facts:

Vredestein's origins date back to 1909. At the beginning, the factory mainly produced tennis balls, rubber floor coverings, shoes and other related products. In 1934, the factory burned down, and after being rebuilt, it started producing bicycle tyres.

After World War II, Vredestein partnered with the American company BFGoodrich, and the new company's office was located in Enschede. The Profilux tyre model was sold in paper packaging to emphasize its uniqueness. It was to be something more than just an ordinary tyre.

In the 1950s, the tyre brand was advertised with a drawing of a woman, named Profilientje, who was dressed in traditional Dutch costume. When the Masterlux model appeared on the market, she was replaced by the slender Masterlientje, who ran forward in a bold, tailor-made suit. It was a symbol of the leap forward at the time.

The Vredestein brand is now part of Apollo Tyres. It is worth noting that the company’s traditions have been preserved and its tyres are still manufactured in Enschede.

Our customers' opinions on Vredestein tyres:

    Vredestein Quatrac PRO

I was afraid of buying all-season tyres for a strong car. That turned out completely unnecessary, and I will never go back to changing tyres. Their advantage in our climate is overwhelming. After all, this model is perfect for when it’s too cold for a summer tyre, which needs to warm up and is hard, losing traction, and too warm for a winter tyre, which becomes soft and “floats”. It is always ready to go, and the conditions don’t make any difference. Loads of reviews about tyres here are written in praise, because let’s agree, how many tyres did an average person go through in their lifetime? And what is their opinion based on? The tyres they went through in their previous two cars? That’s See more > why I was afraid to buy Quatrac Pro, because almost all tyres have good opinions – and wrongly so. That is why my review is rather based on several dozen cars that I drove, and I will tell you that this model is definitely Top League. Predictable behaviour while turning, and on dry and wet surfaces as well as slush. If their durability is just as good, I will buy them again. For now, my opinion is based on a mileage of 10,000 km. I was afraid that the manufacturer talked marketing rubbish, saying that it is a model for sports/demanding cars, but now I can subscribe to it. The tyre balances out the comfort and allows for QUITE A LOT. And it looks good, I’m finally happy with the purchase, and I was a little in the dark when buying, because the model is relatively new.

    Vredestein Quatrac 5

Vredestein Quatrac 5 are my first all-season tyres. I decided to use this alternative with the belief that the current technological progress will give me a few years of safe use, and I will probably avoid queuing for the vulcanizer twice a year. I drive on the Fiesta MK6, traveling about 12,000 km a year, mostly around the city. After a little more than half a year of use (including winter), I have the most positive feelings. Asymmetric tyre (winter and summer tread). In the dry season, there are no problems. It is quiet, it adheres well to the road, so far resistant to abrasion. The situation is similar in the case of wet conditions, where in the case of a soft and less aggressive See more > driving, I did not feel any slips, or lose of control. I feel very confident in the car. Last winter I was a little disappointed, because the weather was really nice. It is true that the snow has appeared several times, but in small quantities and I can not consider it as a test site for tyres. Nevertheless, I did not feel any difference from the previous cold weather (Dębica Frigo 2). The Vredestein Quatrac 5 has not let me down yet and I hope it stays that way. I recommend with a clear conscience.

    Vredestein Snowtrac 5

Very honest tire for the price range with good cornering grip where it improves dynamic and lively driving on cold and wet asphalt. Slightly lower performance on snowy roads, where there is a lack of response on traction. With regard to the consumption of the tread, where in 3 months were covered about 12 000 km, mainly on mountain roads, we can say very well because the parts remained almost unchanged. In short, in a good tire, which I would give 8 out of 10. See more >

    Vredestein Wintrac Xtreme S

Well performing tires for the enthusiast driver. Good balance of price-performance ratio and they look works well. Noticed the occasional spin on dry surfaces but these were the days when the outside temperature was above 10 degrees c. These tires are designed to 7 degrees C and below. good grip and overall performance especially in the rainy season. See more >
