The first number informs about the tread width of the tyre. The number is provided in millimetres and in this case it is 185 millimetres. The second number equals the profile height of the 185/60 R14 tyre (the percentage ratio of the tyre's height to its tread width - 60% out of 185 mm). The third number provides the diameter of the wheel rim on which the 185/60 R14 tyre should be installed. The value is expressed in inches (14'').
